Role Overview
We are seeking a part time Receptionist to assist in Brunswick Salon.
We offer a kinder, less stressful grooming experience. Our clients are owners who want to make sure their pets are well taken care of while in the grooming salon. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for their pets and deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Handle client check in and check out.
• Answering phones and setting up grooming appointments. Understand what each Groomer and Bather needs when booking.
• Understanding what services the client wants and making sure to communicate that with the Groomers and Bathers.
• Educating customers on the different services we offer.
• Handling cash and credit cards.
• Maintaining a clean work environment and helping with back of the house tasks (laundry, light cleaning)
Role Requirements
It will be essential to interact routinely and openly with the Clients, Groomers and Bathers. Duties and responsibilities will also require the ability to safely lift dogs/things weighing up to 30 lbs and being able to bend, reach and move around as needed.
Physical Activity Level
This job will require you being on your feet as well as moving objects that may weigh up to 30 or more lbs. This position also requires you to be actively moving around at times and be able to effectively control incoming client dogs and outgoing client dogs.
Some cleaning is also involved. This position will also require lots of energy, so if you want a job where you sit and answer phones.... this isn't for you. Also, you must love dogs and it would be very helpful to have knowledge about the various breeds.
Experience
• Prefer some receptionist experience.
• Knowledge and love of dogs is essential!
• No Drama is required and won’t be tolerated.
Skills Requirements
• Effective personnel leadership.
• High energy and possess resilient work ethics.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working with our computer program.
• Understanding of and commitment to company vision and mission.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace.
• Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated.

HAPPY DOG GROOMING SALON is a full scale grooming salon committed to creating a kinder, less stressful grooming experience of our clients and their dogs as well as a great place to work. We do get very busy at times and you need to be able to control chaos, keep dogs safe and think fast on your feet!
