d in training and helping find homes for shelter dogs. Kari is certified through the Sit Means Sit school's three week course. Gary's background is in showing and competing with dogs and he is the vice president of the Working American Pit Bull Terrier Club and the President of Alexandria Schutzhund Group. Together they have experience in trick training, dock diving, Schutzhund/IPO, basic agility, behavioral modification. This combined knowledge gives them the skills to work with any type of behavioral issue from puppy basics, to anxiety, to aggression.

In honor of National K9 Veterans Day (March 13th) we would like to highlight one of our GO TEAM Dogs and his owner. The following was written by GO TEAM member and veteran, Rolando Enriquez, and his best friend, Eddie.

Eddie and I met back in late 2016 at Lackland Air Force Base when we got paired as a team for Specialized Search Dog (SSD) School. After graduating SSD school in early 2017, I left to go back to Okinawa, Japan. Eddie followed suit and we teamed up again. We went on many training missions together as a team and traveled to mainland Japan, South Korea, and back to the US a couple times. I got out of the Marine Corps in March of 2019 and had to leave Eddie behind. He stayed in the military continuing to serve while getting paired with new handlers. Eddie got to travel even more with his new handlers and went on more missions up until he retired in 2021. When he retired the Kennel Master (KM) at the time reached out to me asking if I wanted to adopt him. Through the help of the KM and Mission K9 Rescue we were reunited and now we volunteer as a therapy dog team for Go Team Therapy Dogs in Houston, TX.
