Hello my AATP families! This post will be semi long. I have been an independent pet sitter in the Frederick area for 16 years. During this entire time, I have not raised my rates. So, this post is about changes that I need to make in order to keep pet sitting. My rates/changes will still be competitive/lower than most. So, here we go. All changes will begin on September 1, 2024. IF you already have dates booked for after 9/1, your original rates will still be honored.

1. All visits (both daily & vacation visits) will increase by $2/visit.
2. Overnights will increase by $10/night. Overnights include ONE midday visit. Any additional visits during the day will be charged a daily visit rate.
3. Holiday Rates--This is new for me. But, the rate will still be more than fair. The rate will be an additional $10/day flat rate. Overnights will also be charged a $10/day flat rate.
HOLIDAYS: New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.

AREAS SERVED: This has changed as well. It does NOT impact current pet families.
** I will no longer be taking on new pet families in the Ijamsville/Monrovia/Urbana areas.
I will continue to serve in New Market, Walkersville, City of Frederick (21701, 21702 21703), Middletown, Jefferson & areas in between.
Unfortunately, I cannot take sits in downtown Frederick unless the pet family has parking on site.

I appreciate & love all of my pet families. I will continue the practice of no extra charge for multiple pets, multiple kitty litter boxes & oral medication administration. I DO charge extra for administering injections. That fee is $15/injection.

Cancelation Policy--I am still working on this and will have policies determined by this weekend.

Helloooo AATP family! I just wanted to update that London's surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, January 24th. ALL donations will be used toward her surgery and post-op care. This process has been humbling to say the least. We are very grateful for all of the donations, words of love and all of the good mojo juju/prayers sent London's way. Her surgery will be at VRA (Veterinary Referral Associates) in Gaithersburg, MD.

AATP families: Believe it or not, I'm already getting bookings for next summer (overnights). Overnights fill quickly. And, unless you're willing to let my son help out, I will have on hand, very capable pet sitters that I wouldn't hesitate to let them care for London. Many thanks!

***June 30th thru July 16th--I will only take overnights for sits close to my other sits & allowing time flexibility. I say this because I have a lot of families away that have multiple pets. Each requiring 3-4 visits/day. When I have certain sits, it is very challenging to give each family quality time if I have too many. In addition, I have to spend time at home w/my dog as well. My families know this up front. I currently have a sit 2 times per day every day giving insulin shots to 2 pets in one home. These are time sensitive. So, I have to be somewhat flexible in my time.
***If you're one of my regular daily sits, you can ignore the sold out dates. This includes visits you may need.

Hello friends! I absolutely appreciate all of the referrals for pet care. However, I am currently not taking on anyone needing overnight pet care nor pets requiring injections (my current families are fine). I currently have several pets needing timed shots. If I take on too many of these, it will prevent me from being able to accommodate additional pet families. I am more than happy to give solid referrals for other pet sitters. Many thanks!

Hello AATP families! At this time, I will not be taking on any NEW pet families. Many thanks for all of your referrals. I have taken on a cat sit for a neighbor that requires 2 insulin shots/day. This is every day of the year. I do not want to sacrifice quality of care for my pet families. So, I made this decision. When circumstances change, I will let you know.
