‼️Notice‼️ Due to staffing, our hours will be changing beginning of March! Our 9-5 days will become 10-6 and we will be operating Thursdays by limited small dog appointments only. Thursday will be removed from online booking in order to control what gets booked that day, so for you Thursday people please call/text to get on the schedule!

Our full-time bather is now officially a groomer and will be leaving us to move out of state. She will be missed, but we wish her a happy and exciting new chapter in her life! 👏

Anyone coming in before March, our hours are still the same. We will post if and when we can re-expand our hours. Thank your for you understanding and support! 🐾💕

Sometimes owners believe it is best to not groom their pet in the winter months so they "will be warmer". However, not grooming your pet in the winter can have the opposite effect.

Pets with coats that are groomed on a regular schedule, should be kept on schedule throughout the year. Every spring we see it in our salons. Dogs who are on a regular grooming schedule, but haven't been in for months simply because it's cold outside. The coat is matted and/or pelted and the poor pet gets shaved to the skin. Owners are upset because they don't understand that a blade must pass 'under' matting, it cannot go through it. Sometimes there are injuries or skin infections discovered underneath all that mess which leads to veterinary visits.

Keeping fur bearing breeds groomed means excessive undercoat does not build up allowing the coat to do it's job. The guard coat reflects wetness and cold, while the undercoat holds warm air near the skin.

For hair bearing breeds, it's okay to groom a bit longer for winter warmth, but dead undercoat still needs to be removed. However, 1/2 inch of extra coat keeps your pet no warmer. You will need extra inches if you are growing for warmth and that may mean more frequent grooming to prevent matting.

Is winter grooming really necessary? Absolutely it is!

We hope everyone is staying warm and healthy. ☃️🧣
Regular grooming can actually help your pet stay warm and healthy. 🫧💧🧼Grooming keeps pets' fur and skin clean and healthy so that it can protect them from the cold 🥶 Their fur is designed to trap warm air by the skin. A good bath will not only keep their fur healthy and strong, it will moisturize their skin and paws during these dry months.

I know this circles around every year, but with the amount of outdoor kitties I been seeing in my neighborhood lately, it makes me so nervous about all the others out there, so ‼️PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE‼️ try to remember to bang on your cars hood, kick your wheels, honk your horn, or even open the hood and check for any cold kitties trying to stay warm! A few extra seconds of your time can save a life!! 🙏 🐈🐈‍⬛

Who is excited about the upcoming snow? ☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️
There is still time today to get those nails trimmed and paw pads shaved beforehand. Doing this on the regular helps with your pup's traction and less fur on the foot means less salt and debris coming in with your pup!
