Fredericksburg Veterinary Clinic We are a full service veterinary clinic which deals with large and small animals. The Fredericksburg Veterinary Clinic is owned and operated by Dr. Karla Juhl.

The clinic is staffed with two veterinarians, one secretary, three veterinary technicians, a groomer and a veterinary assistant. Some of the services we provide for our small animal clients are dental cleaning/polishings, pre-surgical blood testing, surgical procedures including but not limited to spay (feline/canine), neuter (feline/canine) , dewclaw removal, declaw cats, entropion surgery & many

other soft tissue surgical procedures. We also have digital x-rays and other diagnostics. We carry a full inventory for our small animal clients which include shampoos, collars, leashes, treats, brushes, toys, Pro Pac and Hills prescription dog food, and much more. We also offer euthanasia & cremation services. For our large animal clients we offer reproductive ultra-sound services, calf processing which includes: dehorning castrating and vaccinating. We also are equipped for equine teeth floating and much more. We have one portable cattle chute and one stationary equine stocks. We also offer 24 hour emergency services.

Everyone meet Cash.

She had a traumatic leg injury that ended in her having to have her front right leg amputated. She has since been spayed, felv tested (negative), rabies, and distemper vaccinated. She has also been dewormed and has a flea and tick applied. She would love a forever home for the holidays! 🎅🏻 🎄 🐈

Quinn has found her forever home! 💕💕

Quinn is still AVAILABLE! Help us find her a home for Christmas! 🎅🏻🎄🎁

Quinn is a kitten that was brought into the clinic by a client that found her outside. She was pretty sick when she came to us but we nursed her back to health and now she is a thriving, playful, snuggly kitten. She will have all her vaccinations, felv tested, spayed and dewormed before she goes to her new home.

🌲 Giving Tree 🌲

This year we have had the opportunity to work with three wonderful animal rescues. They have all helped find homes for countless dogs and cats. This time of year is a slow donation time for all animal rescues, so to help relieve some of the financial burden we are doing a giving tree.

On our tree in the lobby there are ornaments for each rescue labeled with things they need. Some of these items we carry at the clinic, and others can be bought elsewhere. We will be collecting items until December 27th.

🚨 🚨 IT HAS NOT BEEN COLD ENOUGH TO TAKE YOUR PETS OFF OF THEIR FLEA AND TICK PREVENTION!!! 🚨 🚨

In the last week we have seen multiple flea INFESTATIONS. This is not just a few fleas on a pet, this is enough fleas on an animal to make them sick. Enough fleas to make an animal anemic. Not only is the pet suffering but as employees we are getting bitten and having to shower as soon as we get home as to not take fleas home to our family and pets.

Please get your animals on prevention!!

Grooming clients: we do not require your pets to be on flea and tick but it is STRONGLY recommended. We do not want you to bring fleas into the clinic but we also don’t want any to go home with you either!

This may not seem like a lot but when combined with the patients we have seen in the last month with fleas, it is adding up. Please keep your animals on flea and tick year round. We have not been having a hard enough freeze to kill off the fleas during the winter.

It is much cheaper to prevent, than to treat your animals and house for fleas. Also keep in mind that if your dog or cat comes into the clinic for boarding and grooming they should be kept on flea and tick year round regardless.

Please call the clinic phone number if you have any concerns or emergencies (563-237-6425). At this point, Dr. Kristen is planning on being in the clinic tomorrow (Saturday) morning from 8AM - 12PM, but watch this page for updates. She will call scheduled appointments if they need to be moved.
