Can not stress this enough! Please put your rabies tags on your dogs collars. And MICROCHIP your dogs, it is the only true way to reunite pets that are lost and don’t have collars on!

If you are a dog owner please have a collar with the dogs information on or better yet have your dog microchipped
We have had so many reports lately of people finding dogs. Our shelter is full as are most in the area and there is really nowhere to go with these poor pups.
If your dog is microchipped or has information tags it’s easier for us to help reunite them with their family

It’s that time of year again! Our Spring Equine Clinic is coming up fast. We sent out postcards to our clients on Monday. If you did not receive one and would like to have us out to vaccinate or power float your horses teeth please call our office!

There will be a few changes in the upcoming weeks at the clinic. Dr. Kristen has purchased her own clinic near her hometown and will be leaving the practice. Her last day is this Wednesday. We want to thank her for the years she has been with us. We wish her the very best of luck with her new adventure and we are all going to miss her!

We would like to formally introduce the newest member to our team:

Jalyn Brownell, DVM

Dr. Jalyn Brownell was raised on a farm near Westgate, Iowa, where she always had a passion for working with animals. She attended Iowa State University for a bachelor’s degree in animal science. She continued to pursue her dreams with Iowa State University Cillege of Veterinary Medicine program where she graduated in 2024. Dr. Jalyn joined our team shortly after. She continues to love riding and showing her western pleasure performance horses at the state and national level. Her free time is spent with her family, friends, and Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Presley.

We are very excited to add Dr. Jalyn to our team and she looks forward to meeting all of our amazing clients!

As a reminder to our beef showman the only official ID that is going to be accepted at shows is a BANGS orange tag in heifers or an RFID tag. If you are use to using silver tags as official ID you will need to switch. Yes, we do have the RFID tags but it would be best if you order them to your specific premise ID number for your farm.

With news of the vet clinic in Cresco closing we have received multiple calls asking if we are accepting new clients. Yes, we are. However we are still not accepting new grooming clients.

To make the process smoother please call us and create an account and then ask to have your records sent to our email: [email protected].

We ask that clients call to make appointments at least 2 weeks in advanced for routine vaccines and toe nail trims. Those appointments are going to be filling the quickest.

It’s January which means we are one month away from our dental month. We are going to be transitioning to a new way of doing dental month over the next two years. We have SO much interest in our dental promotion that we are needing to do it year round instead of in just 4 weeks. We will still be honoring the appointments that are already made for this year but in the future the dental promotion will be as follows:

If you come to the clinic for any appointment with your pet (ie medical, vaccinations, or for an oral exam) and schedule a dental within 30 days of your visit you will receive 15% off your pets dental. This discount does not include bloodwork or any other services. This will prevent overbooking of dentals.

Posting for a client: this you male is looking for a good home. He showed up a few weeks ago cold and hungry. He's around 1 year old, still intact, and incredibly friendly. He would make a purrrfect lap cat. Message us if you're interested and we can get you in touch with the foster parent.
