Summer boarding kennel spots have been getting full over a week in advance. Please call with all of your summer boarding dates to ensure your pets will have kennels. We have been turning dogs away weekly due to being full.

Dairy Days 2024 🥛 🐄

We had a blast dressing up and walking in the parade yesterday! It was a great change of pace and we all had so much fun tossing candy and seeing all our clients in the crowd.

We had the honor of being voted people’s choice parade float! 🏅 🎉

Great news! Gina has found her new home already! 🥰

Everyone meet Gina!

She was brought into the clinic by a Good Samaritan a couple weeks ago after she had found her on the side of the road in not good conditions. After she recovered for a few days we evaluated her and found that she had suffered a traumatic injury to her front leg resulting in a front leg amputation. She has come out of her shell since her surgery and is a lovable cat looking for her forever home.

She is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, felv tested(negative), dewormed and has had flea and tick applied.

She is a 1 year old spayed female cat that is up to date on her vaccinations, felv/fiv tested(negative), flea and tick has been applied and she has been dewormed. With the unseasonably warm weather we will be experiencing next week, we are suggesting to start flea and tick preventions earlier than normal. With that being said, we have a BRAND NEW product this year!

Nexgard Plus is a combination flea, tick, and heartworm preventative. If you have previously given Heartgard and Nexgard every month, this new product will be just a single chewable treat!

We still have one puppy looking for her forever home!

And then there was one!

We were recently asked to help facilitate adoptions for these 8 puppies after their mother could no longer take care of them. They have been parvo tested(negative), vaccinated with their first distemper and dewormed.

They are 8 weeks old this week and are a terrier lab cross. All are very friendly and love attention. The adoption fee is $75 per puppy. If puppies return to us for their spay/neuter before 6 months of age you will receive a $75 discount for the surgery.

🚨🚨Attention: Please consider "Lepto" vaccine due to increase in cases🚨🚨

In the past year or so, we have dealt with an increase in cases of Leptospirosis. This infection affects the kidneys and liver and can be fatal. Dogs affected by this disease require several days of intensive, expensive hospitalization to recover. "Lepto" can also be spread to other dogs and humans in the household (as well as subjecting the veterinarians & staff caring for your pets to this dangerous disease).

The good news: there is a vaccine for Lepto! We are currently recommending the vaccine to any dog who spends ANY time outside (even those who "only go outside to go to the bathroom"). Dogs contract this disease by contact with infected wild animal urine - however, our most common cases are small dogs that spend very little time outside but are UNVACCINATED.

The vaccine requires an initial injection, a "booster shot" 3 to 4 weeks later, and also will be boostered yearly. Your pet may already be vaccinated as we recommend it during puppy visits, it is listed on your pets records either as "Lepto 4" or in combination with the distemper vaccine "DHPPv + L4".

At this point, Dr. Kristen is planning on being in the clinic tomorrow (Saturday) morning from 8AM - 12PM, but watch this page for updates. She will call scheduled appointments if they need to be moved.

February is Pet Dental Month!

With an increase in the amount of cleanings already scheduled this month and in February, we have decided to start our dental promotion early! All dentals scheduled in January AND February are going to be 15% off.

We do have limited spots available for dentals so please call and get on our schedule as soon as possible. If you would like your dog or cats teeth checked to see if they would benefit from a cleaning please call and make an appointment.
