We love every pet that walks through our doors. They are individuals and we tailor our care to meet their specific needs and to work within your budget. We offer hi-tech diagnostics and alternative therapies, but we are also grounded in practical medicine. Two pets may have the same illness, but their needs could be very different. Some pets recuperate peacefully in the hospital, while others are

more comfortable in their own home. We have a passion for homeless and disadvantage pets. Our hospital provides low-cost veterinary care to several local rescue groups, like Cause 4 Paws. We also have a charity, called Ellie’s Fund, that was established to give financial aid to pets in need. No matter who we are working with, patient care is our #1 priority and our heart is in everything we do.

Boy if it isn’t a good day for it! Stay cool out there friends. Remember, it takes only 30 MINUTES or less for your pet to go into a heat stroke. Lots of shade and water is key! Days that are this hot keeping them cool inside is best!☀️💧

✨ Make sure you’re offering your baby fresh clean water to prevent them drinking from water puddles or any other bodies of water than can be contaminated with ”Lepto virus”. It is never a good idea to suggest or offer your fur baby ANY water that looks dirty or is from a puddle, planter, or any body of water🦠🚫

It’s Pet Dental Health Month! 🦷 Keeping your pet’s teeth healthy can make a HUGE difference in their overall well-being. Dental disease can keep your pet from eating or enjoying daily activities or even cause harmful infections that spread to major organs. Early detection of dental disease may even make the difference between needing to remove teeth or not! If you think your pet could benefit from a dental cleaning, give us a call to set up a pre-surgical appointment!

We hope Santa brought your pets some yummy treats and amazing toys but we wanted to post these photos (with the owner's permission) of one of our patients that got herself into some real trouble recently. This little cutie got her lower jaw stuck in a bone. The owners promptly brought her in, she was sedated and Dr Bond carefully removed the bone! She was up and feeling much better in no time and this chew toy went straight into the trash. Be sure to monitor your pet with any toys, especially balls and bones.

We'd like to give a warm welcome to our new Practice Manager. Some of you may recognize this familiar face.

Trisha started at Lee’s Hill Pet Hospital as a Receptionist in 2012. Over the years she was cross-trained as a Vet Assistant and then promoted to Assistant Manager. Trisha left LHPH for one year to pursue an emergency veterinary medicine career, then joined the team once more as the Practice Manager in November 2023. When she's not training the staff and ensuring LHPH is providing excellent patient and client care, Trisha enjoys spending time at home with her husband, her son, and her many cats and dogs. Trisha also runs a 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue, where they specialize in TNR (trap, neuter, return), as well as finding homes for abandoned cats/kittens that come their way. Trisha is excited to be back at the place she calls home and can't wait to continue to help long-term and new clients and patients of LHPH.

Brandon tragically passed away so his family decided to honor him by gathering toys and gift cards (wrapped or unwrapped) to donate to the Thurman Brisben Homeless Shelter here in Fredericksburg. ** Update: 11/27 7:20a - we have power but as you can imagine, all of our systems are down but we are actively working to get them back up and running. We appreciate your patience this morning.

We have been without power since 7:45a today. A car took out many power lines on Mine Road. We have no estimated time of restoration but we hope to be back up and running by tomorrow morning. Thanksgiving is coming up quick! Be careful what you and your guest are slipping to your babies. We will be closing at 2pm on Wednesday the 22nd, closed all day Thursday the 23rd and opening late at 10am on Friday the 24th. For a Christmas this year we are helping in honoring a long time client Brandon Nutter. He tragically passed away last year. His family is gathering toys and gift cards for the adults and children at Thurman Brisben Homeless Shelter. Please consider bring a gift to your appointment to help our community in need. We celebrated our technicians all week long! Monday we had bagels, fruit, and coffee, Tuesday we went out to dinner at Iztac, Wednesday we had an Ice Cream social, Thursday we had a fruit and veggie bar, and Friday we had Panera! We are so appreciative of our technicians and love everything they do for us and your babies!

NEW MIRACLE MONTHLY INJECTION FOR CATS WITH ARTHRITIS (typically ages 6+) IS NOW AVAILABLE AT LHPH: 💉 Let’s talk about a fab drug for those older kitties called Solensia™ (frunevetmab injection). 🦴 We are using this monthly injection to relieve pain associated with osteoarthritis (OA). 👴 OA is generally a disease of old age, and so there is no cure - but how wonderful that our beloved animals are being looked after so well that they make it to old age! 🧫 Solensia is a MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY.
