Skye went to a foster home and they fell in love with her instantly. They knew almost immediately that they wanted to adopt her and make her a part of the family. She sleeps with her oldest human sibling every night and is an instigator with her canine sibling, Cosmo. Skye loves a tennis ball and is an expert snuggler. She also knows no personal space and wants to be up close and personal as often as she can. Her new family said she's one of the sweetest girls ever! We are so happy that Skye didn't have to stay at the Spotsylvania Animal Shelter very long and that she will be having a wonderful holiday season as part of a beautiful family. 💕

Scooby, one year, says he’s looking for a family that is active and will take him on all the fun adventures. Female dogs would be fine as he does enjoy other dogs, but he did come to us after clashing with a male dog. He does great with children, and so far seems to be fine with the cats in his foster home. He is house and crate trained. Scooby loves the water so a family that goes on beach vacations or loves the lake life would be a bonus. Email [email protected] if interested in adding Scooby to your family, and please make sure to provide a bit of information about what life with your family might be like.

Adorable Buck, 4 years, is a super handsome and outgoing TRIPAWD guy looking for a family to call his own. Buck does well with other cats and would enjoy living with one in his forever home. Buck is fostered with 7 dogs, and does well with them though definitely says he prefers a laid back dog if going to be adopted into a home with a canine companion. Buck wants you to know that just because he's a tripawd he can run, play, climb stairs and be a happy and playful cat just like any other. Buck loves to cuddle and would likely be fine with children. Email [email protected] if ready to provide a loving, indoor only, forever home to Buck. Please make sure to provide a bit of information about his possible new home.

Sapphire has been waiting so patiently for a Forever family to call her own. Sapphire would do best in a household with older or no children. She would also appreciate an active companion, as she was in a short term foster home and loved going on runs with her foster mom. Sapphire has had a not so great beginning, with lots of instability, so a stable home ready to make the commitment to her being part of the family is of upmost importance. If you are an active individual looking for an active canine companion, she may just be your perfect fit. Please consider coming to meet her, Tuesday through Saturday, between noon and four.

1 year young Scooby finds himself searching for a new home after some altercations with the other male dog in his home. Scooby does well with the female dog and is great with the humans. Scooby is house and crate trained, and would love a family where he can attend soccer games, eat out with his family, go on family walks. Basically, he's a great guy you can, and should take everywhere. Scooby hopes that if you think you could be his perfect fit, and vice versa, that you will EMAIL [email protected] to tell him what life with your family might be like.

Twix, aka Trixie (middle), is doing so well in her home with her brothers. This is her favorite spot to watch over everything going on. When Twix first arrived, she would run and hide when her family would move around. But with patience and letting her decompress, she has really come out of her shell. Twix was always a professional biscuit maker and continues to show love and appreciation to her family for the time they gave her to feel comfortable. 💗

Buck, 4 years, was found as an injured stray and brought to our shelter. Buck required a hind limb amputation and has been recovering in a foster home. Buck is an outgoing guy, great with laid back dogs and other cats. Even before amputation, he must have been in pain, but he was still the sweetest boy ever. Buck is ready to begin his search for a forever home. Buck is in need of an indoor only home, and one that knows they are ready to make a lifelong commitment to his health and happiness. Buck wants to remind everyone that just because he's a tripawd, he can run, play and jump as well as any four legged kitty could. EMAIL [email protected] to tell Buck why he might be a purrfect addition to your family.

Scooby, 1 year, was adopted from us earlier this year but sadly is clashing with the male dog in the home. Scooby is house trained, crate trained, does well with the female dog and adores humans. Scooby would love a family that will take him on fun adventures, where he knows he's not just a pet, but truly a beloved family member. We do not know his breed as he arrived stray, but these days, it's safe to presume he is some kind of "doodle." Email [email protected] if interested in adding Scooby to your household, please make sure to provide some information for him about what life with your family would be like.

Neva, 7 years, is out enjoying this gorgeous weather wondering if she will ever find her forever home. After waiting well OVER A YEAR, her son was adopted many months back, but she still goes without interest, we understand her questioning. Neva is wonderful with other dogs, loves to play, would enjoy a fenced in yard to run and play in. Neva is great with humans too! The only thing Neva needs is a cat free household. Neva is such a great girl, and even having her in foster care, promoting from a home environment has not garnered her any interest. PLEASE SHARE and let's help Neva get herself a HOLIDAY MIRACLE, ADOPTION INTEREST! She's too great of a gal to go unnoticed for so long. Email [email protected] if adding Neva to your family sounds like it could be the missing piece you've been searching for.

Spudz says she’s completely happy at her foster home and they love her, however, in order to be able to continue helping more, she does need to find her forever home. Spudz had another meet and greet yesterday, but the other female dog did not like her energy. Spudz plays perfectly with the females in her foster home, as well as the males. Spudz would love to have another dog around her size to play with, it’s just that inquiring families needs to know that their other dog can handle young dog energy, and does not have female on female dog issues. Spudz is a little tank, with no clue how much she packs in a punch when she comes barreling at you so we do think children that are a little bit older and more steady on their feet would be best. Please share, Spudz is ready to find a household. She can call her very own. Email [email protected] if you think that household could be yours and please provide a bit of information as to why.

True to form, Niall took full advantage of his now adoptive mom simply walking in the room and getting down on his level. Even as she attempted to meet some of the other cats in the room, Niall made sure to stake his claim on her shoulder. Knowing that she wanted to adopt a pair, Midnight was already fast friends with Niall and the two of them are now brother and sister with an amazing new momma. ❤️

Princess is loving her time with her foster dad. She is also incredibly happy to be out of the shelter. Princess, age 8, came to us surrendered with her daughter, who has since been adopted. She loves her walks and is a great cuddler. She is also very crate and house broken. Princess seems to have had some experiences in her previous life where she is a bit slower to trust all people. But once she is comfortable with you, she shows a very fun and loving side. She loves to play with tennis balls. Princess is great in a car and is a great little travel companion. If you would like to meet Princess, please email [email protected] and let us know a bit about yourself.

From the moment he entered the household, Archie fit right into everyone's hearts. Archie is best friends with their younger dog who desperately needed a playmate. Archie's family has long adopted Beagles from our shelter and when they reached out about adopting Archie, we knew he would have it made! Somehow we have a feeling Archie is about to have the happiest holiday season he's ever known, and a life beyond which he could ever have dreamt of. ❤
