Boone and Boyd had a bit of outside get to know you time on this gorgeous day. Boone came to us as supposedly not good with other dogs, and his kennel behavior led us to believe that might be the case. However, we do always like to try to learn about them ourselves, and we had heard from another household of his that he did well with others so we introduced him to Boyd, one of our amazing dogs that loves every dog he meets, male or female. It is also important to note, that the home that stated he was not good with other dogs, he was only in their home for a few days, and there was no adjustment period allowed. This is just the beginning as we start to learn more about handsome Boone, but we are excited to have this little breakthrough and for him to have some fun getting out for fresh air and playtime with another dog. Both of these handsome fellows are at the Shelter, waiting for you to consider coming to meet/adopt them, Tuesday through Saturday, between noon and four. The only exception is this Saturday, as we will be closed due to the rabies clinic.

***SENIOR GIRL IN NEED***
Toothless, approximately 10 years, came to us from a household with dozens of other cats. Toothless says she’s fine on her own, but would also be quite happy to have some feline friends again. Toothless prefers a quieter home, and would love to remain indoors. Toothless has impeccable litter box manners and spends most of her days curled up on a blanket or basket, enjoying the peace and quiet of being out of the shelter. Toothless has found a short term foster home but we are hoping that she can find her forever family before having to return to the shelter. PLEASE SHARE and EMAIL [email protected] if you can provide a loving home for a sweet senior gal.

Indigo, 9 years, says what more does she have to do to get some attention? For any of us that know Indigo, you know she's all about her humans . . . well them and squeaky toys! Indigo MUST be the only animal in her home, but is a love to humans. Indigo's ideal family must enjoy cuddling, buying lots of squeaky toys to watch them demolished in minutes, gentle kisses and a dog that will watch every bite you eat, eagerly waiting for a bit of sharing to go on.πŸ˜† If you are looking for a one and only, and do not live in a busy area with many dogs/free roaming cats around, Indigo hopes you will EMAIL [email protected] to tell her all about her potential forever home.

With his adorable wild whiskers, Andre is a handsome, sweet 10 year old cat who has so much love to give. He is an affectionate boy who arrived to us from a crowded situation, and has been overlooked for far too long. Andre is managing diabetes, but handles it like a champ. His medical needs are straightforward. He takes his daily insulin shots with zero fuss, making the routine simple and the medication costs manageable. The love you'll receive from Andre is the best reward. Please consider opening your heart to this deserving senior and give him the comfortable, stable home he so desperately needs. He is available for adoption today between 12 and 4pm at the Spotsylvania Animal Shelter in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Adorable Pringles, 1 year old, is still searching for her forever home. Pringles would love a home with another dog, and says she thinks cats and human children would be fine too. This sweetheart is not only house trained and crate trained, she also has some of the world's most adorable floppy ears. If interested in having Pringles join your family, email [email protected] to tell her a bit about her potential forever home.
