Aside from having them in my childhood home, I learned how to take care of them professionally in my early 20s. While working at a kennel I handled about 15 dogs at a time in the yard and supervised play. After about 1 year I moved on to a Veterinary Practice, at New Baltimore Animal Hospital in Warrenton, VA. For over 3 years I learned how to medically treat cats and dogs and assisted the Veterin

arian in physical exams, procedures, and even surgery. I eventually moved to Fredericksburg and began a different career path, but taking care of animals is hardwired in me. So I opened up my home as a private boarding space for dogs while their owners are away.
