The City of Fredericksburg Animal Control/Animal Shelter takes in stray and unwanted cats and dogs from the City of Fredericksburg, Texas and Gillespie County. We try and locate the owners of stray animals, but sometimes this is impossible without identification. Unclaimed stray and surrendered animals are evaluated and then put up for adoption. We also try and educate people about being responsible pet owners.

The City of Fredericksburg is hosting our Annual Low-Cost Rabies Vaccination Clinic! Protect your pets and save on important vaccinations!

💉 Rabies Vaccination: $10.00
Other low-cost vaccinations and microchips will also be available.

🗓️ Clinic Dates:
Saturday, January 25th from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Saturday, February 1st from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Both clinics will take place at the City of Fredericksburg South Campus (233 Friendship Lane).

🩺 Veterinary Providers:
January 25th: Fredericksburg Veterinary Center
February 1st: Gillespie Veterinary Center
Prices for additional vaccinations will be posted at the clinic.
