While we certainly do not condone getting a puppy as a Christmas present we know it does happen. So we're here to provide some helpful tips.
Let’s talk about crates! Picking the right one is so important. We often hear people say, “I tried crate training, but my dog kept escaping and destroying everything, so I gave up.”
What many don’t realize is that there are plenty of crate options out there—you don’t have to splurge on a $1,000 impact crate.
Crates like Vari Kennel, Ruffland, or other heavy-duty travel crates can work wonders. They’re durable, harder for dogs to bend, and provide a secure, den-like space.
Even small adjustments, like zip-tying the corners of a wire crate, can prevent escape artists from popping the walls apart.
Remember, the right crate can make all the difference! 🐾
We LOVE our volunteers, and we especially adore our rock star Puppy Team! 🐾💛 These incredible volunteers dedicate their time to feeding, cleaning, and making sure our puppies get plenty of playtime and love every single day. 🧡🐶
Check out this adorable video captured by one of our Puppy Team members during their nighttime check-in! 📹✨ We couldn’t do it without their dedication and passion for giving our pups the best care.
Thank you, Puppy Team, for all that you do! 🐾🥰 If you're interested in joining our volunteer family fill out an application today!
It's busy, it bustling - it smells so good in the house! THE DOOR KEEPS OPENING! So many strange smells and people in the house.
Let's be frank - it can be overwhelming - not just for people but for dogs too. And honestly, it doesn't need to be.
Give me a cozy bed in my favorite place - my crate. Give me a peanut butter Kong or my favorite chewy off the raw bar @dog Krazy. A five hour nap is nothing.
I'm safe in my crate. People can't get into my space, poke me or pet me if I don't wanna be friends. And I can't accidentally run out the front door!
During the Holidays - my crate is the best place for me. Help keep me safe!
Bambi and Faline are showing off their crate skills. Their foster mama feeds them in their crate for each meal and it's their favorite place.
