Please say a little prayer for our boy Wilbur. He’s been having issues gaining weight. Currently is eating 6 cups of food a day vs his normal 2 cups a day and hasn’t gained a pound. We ordered bloodwork from the vet, hopefully it’s nothing serious. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Wilber is looking great and pleased with his check up.

Today’s adventure….assisting in a pig rescue. Say hello to Poppy, she is a 4 month old Kune Kune piglet who was living in a UVA student frat house. Her owner knew it wasn’t the best environment for her to live and reached out to us for help.

Poppy will be available for adoption through Swine Knot, please reach out to them if you are interested in giving Poppy a forever home!!!

Wilbur…you are officially double digits, the big 1️⃣0️⃣!!! We’ve enjoyed nearly a decade of cuddles, silly zoomies, hot pants, and so much love! We couldn’t have asked for a better pig. You will always be our #1, the pig that started it all!! We hope you had a wonderful day with Ms. Holly and got to enjoy some birthday cake with your friends. We’ll see you soon!!! 😘

Hello February!!! It’s Wilbur’s birthday month and a huge milestone because he will be turning 10 years old on February 11th. That’s 50 in pig years 🐷

We hope to have at least 10 more years with him and in order to insure that happens we need to get him better!! He was recently diagnosed with a double tusk infection and will need an expensive tusk removal surgery. Alas, we are still asking for donations towards his vet bills and upcoming surgery to treat his tusk infection.

Wilbur cannot catch a break, he formed yet another abscess…this time on the other side. He was recently diagnosed with a tusk infection in both tusks and will continue to develop these abscesses. The recommended treatment is to have tusk removal surgery. In the meantime, we have to manage the infection with antibiotics and continue to drain any abscess to prevent the infection from spreading. We want to do everything we can to keep our boy healthy and for him to be able to live a long happy life. However, these vet appointments, treatments, and medications continue to add up and the surgery is going to be costly, possibly in the thousands.

Happy Gotcha Day to Willie and Gus!!! A day late because we’ve been crazy busy for the past couple of months! These two sweet brothers came into our lives 3 years ago and we couldn’t imagine our lives without them.
