True or False?
True or false? How big does a mini pig get, really? The answer might surprise you!
In reality, while mini pigs are smaller than their farm yard companions, they aren't actually as small as you might think. While some pigs can be as small as 50lbs, the average size of a mini pig is between 100-150lbs, and some pigs can be as big as 200lbs! Mini pigs are also slow growers, and typically take 4-5 years to reach their full adult size. They're also taller than you might think, averaging 14 to 20 inches at the shoulders.
So while it's true that miniature pigs are smaller, they're not the tiny teacup size you may have been led to believe. It's important to make sure that you have the appropriate environment to house a 200lbs pig prior to bringing one home, just in case.

This is Molly one of our employees pets, she was a 10 year old Labrador who was suffering with the pain of Osteoarthritis. Her day to day was limited and she constantly would walk with a limp due to the pain and overall didn’t see very comfortable.
She was started on librela and a week after the first injection she started running again which she hadn’t done in a very long time! Librela helped with her daily pain and discomfort to improve her quality of life.
While Molly has since passed her last few months were spent pain free and happy running around and swimming which she thoroughly enjoyed.
If you notice at home your dog dealing with any signs of Osteoarthritis please contact us and schedule an appointment to discuss these concerns and see if this would be a good fit for your pet.
Also if you’ve started your dog on Librela we would love to see them now, we’ve had so many great wonder stories with this injection and we cannot wait to see how many more there are to come. ❤️
