A lot of firsts happened for ol blue yesterday! He had never been around cattle let alone dragging a calf to the trailer on top of never having a bit in his mouth. I’d say it was a win lol

It’s been rather crazy around here lately especially with me losing my thumb. However it’s starting to seem like the only thing that has slowed down from it has been my typing but that was rather slow before lol. Anyways ol moonshine here came and spent some time with us, he sure liked the girls riding him way more than when I would. Thank you for your business Rylee I really appreciate it and can’t wait to see how your moms colts turn out we’ll see ya soon

Well River (aka grey) 2 weeks ago if someone was to ask me about you I’d he’s just a 3 yr old stud that’s ”green”. Now if someone was to ask me about today I’d have to say he’s got the mindset to be a good anything horse. Here’s a couple highlights of his two weeks he spent with us. these are two firsts for him I’d say he took em pretty good

Stout is a 15 year old draft cross gelding up for grabs, we would love to keep him around but we need to downsize. UTD on everything, stands to be hosed off, stands tied at the trailer, stands for farrier, has hauled in both our stock and slant trailer no problem. He is at the top of our pecking order when feeding but gets along with all of our horses he’s turned out in the pasture with. We currently use him everyday checking pastures, gathering cattle, doctoring cattle. We have let a friend use him for some queening stuff, carrying flags and pushing cattle out of the arena. Can open and close gates. Pretty laid back riding around but has some get up and go when asked, Just point him where you wanna go and he will go. Has been hauled to barrel races and rodeos. We have rode him around in a bozal, 5 inch oring or a heavy weighted oring and they work perfect on him and responds well. No past injuries and sound. Currently located in eureka, ks. Ol rooster is coming along great, took to dragging the log like it was nothing. One of the several firsts we got under our belt today was working the rope and we accomplished that with ease. I can’t wait to see this horse reach his full potential.

Great horses take time! They have a attitude of their own. Many of them were outlaws when they were young! But once they figured out their job, ya better watch out because at that point They become unbeatable
