My name is Jill and my best friend, Jersey, my
Lhasa Apso and I reopened Jersey Jill's in 2021. I am the Owner and Master
Groomer of Jersey Jill’s and have been a dog lover
and owner my entire life. My experience in dog grooming goes back to high
school, where I worked as a bather at a local salon. I was also grooming my Lhasa Apsos and West
Highland White Terriers for several years before
deci

ding to go to school for professional dog
grooming. I completed dog grooming school in a personal
salon, which gave me great hands-on experience
and couldn’t wait to open my own store, which I
did in 2010. After six years in the industry and a few change of
life events, I moved to north Jersey and returned
to life as a Registered Nurse. My background is in
Trauma/Emergency Medicine as well as experience
in corporate arenas. I am also certified in Pet CPR/
Heimlich Maneuver/First Aid. After a few years,
I realized how much I missed and loved all of my
dogs, customers, and my true passion, so I decided
to re-open my salon and return to what I love. My sweet Jersey has since passed at the age of 16 years and 3 months and I have opened my heart to my new baby, Brinkley, also a Lhasa Apso. Both loved beyond measure. WHAT MAKES JERSEY JILL"S

This sweet little lady is just about a year old. Found as a stray and no one has come for her. Pimienta can be a little shy at first but quickly hops to your lap for some reassuring pets!!

She met one potential dog sibling this past weekend and we think a mellow dog might be the right mix for her vs one that is "yappy" and comes on strong. Or she would be fine as the love of your life! As for kids, bigger ones as she's a shy girl. Stop in daily 12-430 and meet this little peanut💜.

Rescue introduces you to the worst of humanity. But it also introduces you to some of the kindest, big hearted, selfless people you could ever imagine. We're so fortunate to be blessed with so many of them, including our volunteers and supporters.

Yesterday after posting our puppy mill survivors and the horrific condition they were in, Jill at Jersey Jill's Dog Grooming Salon despite the fact that she's booked solid every single day and closed to taking new customers at this time, reached out and offered to take our girls today to give them a real groom and finish the matted mess on their legs and paws. There are no words to say how appreciative we are of her kindness. Look at our girls now ♥️. They still have a long way to go to heal the emotional scars of life in a puppy mill but they were both so sweet and gentle, and you can tell they feel so much better with their bodies completely free of the tangled matted hair. We love you Jill!

This gorgeous boy is still looking for his forever. Simba is estimated to be about 7 years old. Vets listed him as a pom, who knows could be some Eskimo dog in there...all we know is that he's absolutely gorgeous. He's about 13 ish pounds, neutered, microchipped and up to date on core vaccines. All he's waiting for are his people...we know they're out there. Please share and let's find this boy a great home!

As fawn season is upon us, it is important for people to know that it is normal to find a baby fawn curled up in the grass alone. Mom did not abandon her baby. Fawns do not have a scent which keeps predators away. Since mom does have a scent, she places her babies somewhere by themselves, sometimes in the strangest places such as under your car or near your porch, but she is never far away. If her baby calls for her, she comes quickly. She visits to feed her baby but quickly leaves as to not attract predators. Unfortunately, people see these adorable baby fawns alone and think they are abandoned and they intervene with good intentions but that is the worst thing you can do for both the fawn and the mom. If you see a baby fawn alone and it is not showing signs of distress such as crying for hours, visibally injured, bleeding, its ears are curled at the tips or has visible indentions by the eyes- a sign of dehydration, please leave it alone and let mom do her job. If the fawn is displaying any of the above signs, then something may have happened to mom and in this case, the fawn needs help.
