We had the cutest little baby come visit us today for her first check up.
This is Millie, she was an amazingly sweet patient, and we are happy to say she is all healthy. Congrats Mom and Dad on the new addition we are sure she is going to be an amazing girl!

Some safety suggestions during July 4 celebrations...
💥Leave your pets at home when you go to parties, fireworks displays, parades and other gatherings. Loud fireworks, unfamiliar places and crowds can all be very frightening to pets, and there's great risk of pets becoming spooked and running away.
💥Consider putting your pets in a safe, escape-proof room or crate during parties and fireworks.
💥If you're hosting guests, ask them to help keep an eye on your pets to make sure they don’t escape. Placing notes on exit doors and gates can help both you and your guests remain vigilant.
💥Keep your pets inside if you or your neighbors are setting off fireworks.
💥Keep sparklers, glow sticks, fireworks, charcoal and kabob skewers away from curious pets.
💥Don't let pets get near your barbecue grill while it is in use or still hot.
💥Avoid the urge to feed your pets table scraps or other foods intended for people. Be especially careful to keep them away from these common foods that are actually toxic.
💥Remember that too much sun and heat (and humidity!) can be dangerous to pets. Keep them inside when it's extremely hot/humid, and make sure they have access to shady spots and plenty of water when outdoors. Don't leave pets outside for extended periods in hot weather. And know the signs that a pet may be overheating.
💥Never leave your pet in your car when it's warm outside. Vehicle interiors heat up much faster than the air around them, and even a short time in a locked car can be dangerous to pets.

We are a week away from 4th of July, and we know that some of our furry friends do not enjoy the festivities as much as we do.
If your pet is high anxiety or high fear give us a call, we have a variety of medications in different forms to make medicating as stress free as possible.

We would like to give a warm welcome to Daisy, the Spector's newest family member. She was an absolute angel at her first visit with us, and we know she is going to grow up into one sweet girl. Congrats on the little baby, she is a wonderful addition!

This is Khaleesi, the absolute sweetest Bengal kitty. She had her spay last week with us and she did amazing, but as any typical Bengal did not want to listen to our recommendation of keeping calm for the next two weeks. Unfortunately she was back in today to recheck her incision and some more meds. Everything looks good, and mom will try extra hard to keep her calm.

Anyone have space for a friendly feral? One of our clients has this guy showing up at her house, she said she is able to pet him and he is very friendly. We are unsure of his age, he's young but not a kitten.

🎉We would like to congratulate and welcome Dr. Michelle Panté as Raintree Veterinary Hospital's new owner. She is thrilled to continue giving outstanding care to our patients! 🎉

Dr. Michelle Panté has been a practicing veterinarian since receiving her veterinary degree in 2011 from Oklahoma State University. Her undergraduate studies were completed at Rutgers University in 2006. She lives on a farm in Millstone and enjoys spending time outside of work with her family. Hobbies include fishing, gardening, and horseback riding. Her furry family includes two dogs, two cats, and two horses. A turtle and some chickens consider themselves part of the family too. It probably won’t be long before her 2 young kids convince her to bring more animals into their lives. Dr. Panté enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but often finds herself drawn to internal medicine and geriatric palliative care. She encourages preventive medicine and finds value in working with families to provide the best care for their pets.
