Please send a photo to all your guests today of your sweet pet and remind them to not feed your pets! Every holiday people are faced with large bills and hard decisions treating their pets for various ailments not limited to pancreatitis and blockages. An example of a nice message is “We are excited to spend time during the holidays with you! A friendly reminder this little guy will beg and plead for a special treat. Rest assured he will get proper treats that will keep him healthy and keep our families holidays joyful.” I am sure many of you can write something more clever and funny, perhaps even a filthy animal. Pet Diabetes Awareness 🐾🩺

Did you know? November is Pet Diabetes Awareness Month! Here are some important facts to keep your furry friends healthy:

🔹 Diabetes in pets is more common than you think, affecting 1 in every 300 dogs and 1 in every 230 cats.
🔹 Symptoms to watch for: increased thirst, frequent urination, weight loss despite a good appetite, and lethargy.
🔹 Early detection is key! With proper management, including insulin therapy, a healthy diet, and regular vet visits, diabetic pets can lead happy lives.
🔹 Pets are more likely to develop diabetes if they’re overweight, older, or have a genetic predisposition.

If you notice any of these signs, schedule a check-up with your vet right away!

I have been trying to figure out something to write about our technicians and all the hats they wear. How to appreciate the knowledge they bring to the table to watch over your pets safety in surgery, being held still for treatments in a safe manner, always trying to calm them down and advocate for them, teaching us all the best ways to care for them. Thanks to our technicians. We will be fully celebrating in November because we are thankful for them!!!!

Ruffles aka Raffy was brought into us by is worried dad, Jeff. Jeff was patient with us as we were backed up with sick pets and wellness visits but he knew Raffy needed help. Diagnostics were performed and it was determined a surgical procedure would need to be performed. Some of our patients were shuffled to other doctors, we asked people to be patient and some of our team cut breaks short so our doctor could perform surgery on sweet Raffy. Raffy is doing well and finally home! He was a trooper at our office watching us throughout the day of his hospitalization. This is not an uncommon story. We appreciate when you guys help support us by trusting us to do our best for your little ones. It does sometimes mean a little wait time or seeing a different doctor. It is always our goal to do our best. Ruffles, we all love you and so happy dad trusted us to help you feel better.
