‼️ FOUND DOG ‼️

Does anybody recognize this sweet boy? He was found running 98 around 30Avenue with his sibling this afternoon. He is not microchipped, and the kind person who picked him up was not able to catch the other dog. Please share, or give us a call if you are the owner so we can get you reunited. Proof of ownership is required.

Our facility is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Animal Technicians. Located only minutes from the beach, in Freeport Florida.

This position will provide the opportunity to enhance and cross train your skills of different species.

Job Description:
As an Animal Technician, you will be responsible for the care, supervision, and entertainment of our four-legged and feathered guests. Your duties may include:
Monitoring and interacting with pets during playtime
Preparing meals, feeding and providing water to pets according to their specific dietary needs
Administering medications, if required
Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility
Providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all pets in our care
Multi-tasking, working independently
Provide excellent customer service
Work all aspects of animal husbandry and enrichment activities (birds, bearded dragon, alpaca, etc.)

Requirements:
Passion for animals and a genuine love for working with pets and do not mind getting a bit dirty
Ability to handle and restrain pets of various sizes and temperaments
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
Attention to detail and cleanliness with a strong sense of responsibility and urgency
Prior experience working with animals is a plus, but not required
Must be able to work in ALL Florida weather, rain, heat, cold
Physically able to move and lift 40 #
Good written and oral communication skills are essential

What a great time Animal Academy of the Emerald Coast had visiting with Children in Crisis. They learned about animal care, service dogs, therapy dogs, and more.

We'd like to give a big thank you to the AAEC team members who volunteered their time to help make this event happen. Thank you Jimmy and Anna!

We would also like to thank Alaqua Animal Refuge for allowing Animal Academy's foster dog/Therapy dog in training, Wyatt to make his debut and the owners of JJ, the Super Service dog, for his participation in making it a day the kids will never forget!
