Had a great time today taking Bella to Green County Humane Society’s Fast & Furriest 5K. Bella is 7 yrs old & has been waiting for her forever home for over a month at the shelter. She did wonderful meeting everyone & didn’t mind the kids running by! She loved getting out for the morning & going on a long walk. Please reach out to Green County Humane Society to meet this sweet girl 💙 #shelterdog #dogtrainer #adoptme
This week I took a volunteer day & spent time training with the shelter dogs at Green County Humane Society Max & Tessa are just a couple dogs who have been waiting for their forever family to find them! They did great with training & are so sweet. Consider adding one of these pups to your family!
We often think of training as learning new cues or working on problem behaviors but sometimes it’s just about building confidence. For shelter pups it’s especially important to work on building confidence not only in general but also in the areas where they will be meeting their potential new family. While Farrah has been adopted, North is still looking for her forever home. She’s hoping for a family that will continue to help her build her confidence and grow! North is available through Green County Humane Society
Recently did a little bit of training with French Fry at Green County Humane Society Not only do I get to see what the dogs already know to note for their potential adopters, it’s also a great way to get the dogs some mental exercise! French Fry is a smart boy, just waiting to show off his potential! Check him out at Green County Humane Society!
Here is Misty doing a quick training session! This sweet girl is still available at Green County Humane Society
Worked with sweet Coco at Green County Humane Society a few weeks ago! She has since been adopted but I love spending time with the shelter dogs and prepping them for their future homes!
Happy Monday!
As you know, I love working with your dogs but did you know I love working with shelter dogs as well?
Shelter pups don’t only need training to help with behavior issues. It can be a great mental work out and enrichment for them! Mental activity is just as important as physical activity. Spend just a few minutes a day with your pup working on cues and you’ll see they are a little extra tired each night. Plus, it will help you bond even more with your furry friend!
