NEWS RELEASE
Dodge County Humane Society (DCHS)
Dissolution
The Board of Directors of the Dodge County Humane Society announces the upcoming dissolution of the nonprofit organization. DCHS has been serving the Fremont and surrounding communities since 1988, providing shelter and care to thousands of animals over the years. It currently relies solely on donations to support the financial operations of the organization. Unfortunately, without reliable and consistent income, it is unable to financially support ongoing operations.
The Board will be working through the dissolution process over the next 60 days, with the priority being the safety and health of the animals under our care throughout the transition. We will be developing a safe animal transfer and adoption plan as soon as possible.
To inquire about adopting any DCHS animals, please call the facility at 402-721-3282
Due to Covid-19, we are committed to adopting out animals into great homes, but we want to keep everyone safe. We will be performing possible adoption meet and greets for dogs via appointment only. Begin by taking a look at our available cats and dogs on our website. It will take 2-3 visits to start...
