It's FUN FACT FRIDAY!!
Did you know that dogs can get a disease called Addison's? Dr. Turner's dog Presley👇was diagnosed 2 years ago. Addison's disease is the common name for hypoadrenocorticism which is caused by decreased hormone production from the adrenal glands. These glands produce two important hormones that regulate a variety of body functions and are necessary to sustain life. Addison's disease is "the great pretender" and can mimic a lot of other diseases, but common signs are vomiting and diarrhea which can be exacerbated during times of stress!!
