Hello! We have some new parking signs to deter traffic from parking in front of the kennel and our home. We are hoping to control the flow and keep things a bit more organized during busy times. You will see a large sign on the privacy fence(left of kennel) and two smaller signs on the pasture fence showing the designated parking area. Please see my poorly drawn map showing these areas

A little background about the owners of Homeward Hound Retreat and why we have such a strong passion caring for ALL dogs.
I grew up with dogs my entire life and always dreamed of ways to do more! My husband Aaron and I, started rescue work with Long Dog Retreat about 10 years ago. We learned so much and it was very eye opening! When the owner of the rescue suddenly passed away we were connected to many other rescues and try our best to help in any way we could. We fostered multiple dogs with our dog Ryan as their loyal welcoming companion! Then we adopted Higgins who needed a special home and the time was right for us. He is still working hard at socializing and trusting people and other dogs. He has grown so much! Unfortunately we haven't been able to continue to foster because we have very specific needs in a foster dog for Higgins to get along. We will continue to help by donating or sharing post for dogs that need help. If you cannot donate please consider sharing this post! If you find yourself with some free time, rescues everywhere are drowning and need help in many many ways beyond fostering!

This photo is too cute not to share now! I have been blessed with such an amazing group of dogs this week! I have 13! Spring Break dogs all week! Pictured is Skye, Sage(hiding), Moose, Harry, Hank, Hazel, Laker, Bosley and Mocha(in back) Not photoed and running around is Stella and Remi. PLEASE SHARE THIS POST!
I'd like to get a poll of people who would be interested in getting some Homeward Hound Retreat merch! This company made some mockups for us and they are pretty great! Let me know in the comments what you would potentially purchase! Leaning more towards leashes and bowls! Long lasting supplies 😉 I have to buy stock so before we do that I wanted to see how many of you would want to purchase first. We got a couple samples of these items to check the quality and decided the items pictured are the best quality for the price 😉

Better late than never! I just realized I never posted a photo of our actual sign after we put it up!

Our initial plan was to do a one-sided front view sign, but our amazing artist did two viewpoints, and we just couldn't choose one. So now you will have a Welcoming Hello!(front view) of our adorable models, Ryan and Higgins. And then a "See you soon!"(back view) of them seeing you off the property
