Schooling lateral work for dressage.

Foxhunting prospect - he did amazing out with Amwell Valley Hounds for their intro to foxhunting clinic. First time seeing the hounds and riding in that large of a group and he barely batted an eye.

Potential to become a lesson horse when he's had a few more miles put on him. Currently needs a confident intermediate to advanced rider who can tell him what his job is. He has done leadline lessons and is gentle on the ground with children.

Up to date on farrier (front shoes), vet, and dental.

Fantastic long weekend at the 2024 Horse World Expo in Harrisburg! Lucky came again to be demo horse to talk about the importance of lunge lessons and how we can improve the rider's biomechanics for a better seat. We had a ton of wonderful conversations and hope to continue the conversations throughout the year with clinics at other barns and at .farm!

For me, the most amazing and heartwarming part of the weekend was having all of Lucky's owners through his life together in one place. Lynne, his original owner, and Terri from both came out to see him and support us and were excited to hear our big goals for the coming years!

Quiet day for these two super stars after working hard the past two days with Buck Davidson. and I can't wait for him to be back. Both days were so educational and gave us more tools and confidence to build on what we learned and keep getting stronger.

I especially loved that no matter the height of jumps, Buck was able to make it challenging for any level of rider. I rode Lucky in the 3ft class and watched Kendra in poles/cavaletti with Giselle which would have been just as, if not more, challenging than the higher fences! Buck really focused on fine tuned details to make all the pieces click perfectly together for much more effortless riding.

For only his second time showing at 1st level, Lucky took home 3rd place out of 10 at championships on Sept 23rd! The weather was awful and we were all soaked within 5 minutes of being out of the stables, but it was a beautiful venue none the less. So proud of where this little guy has come and excited to continue working on our 2nd and 3rd level movements!

Not to mention, the stall he stayed in was very fitting! "Little horse with a big heart"

While I may not have been able to stay to hunt with Saturday following the adult clinic, I was invited out that Thursday morning with and got to experience my first fox hunt! (photo credits) and had me outfitted and on one of Ted's horses, Rowdy, early to beat the heat. It turned out to be a beautiful morning, before the impending heat of the day, and I had a blast. Looking forward to the next time!

Had a blast the first week of September at the first two days of the adult clinic! I took Lucky out for jumping exercises with .j.heard.eventing on day one and then over to for cross country schooling with for day two. Despite the awful heat (in the mid 90s!!), Lucky ended day two with energy left in the tank. I learned lots and am excited to spend this winter getting him even fitter and more confident to kick butt next season!
Thank you for hosting both myself and Lucky for a few days during this clinic!

Another busy weekend in the books! I hosted an unmounted biomechanics clinic this past Saturday. Everyone had a great time and learned lots! Only downside to this is we didn't stop to document anything with photos.
My favorite thing about these clinics is seeing a group of (generally) women coming together to empower each other and sharing their experiences in the hopes that it can help provide a missing piece for someone else.

I've been working with this little mare for a couple months now and she continues to prove how smart and kind she is! She went through auction 3 years ago so her history is completely unknown. Her owner originally contacted me to work with her to make her safe for the grandkids to ride. Kai is perfect on the leadline so I started ground driving her to teach her better steering. From there we're working towards breaking her to cart so she can continue to have a job once the grandkids are too big to ride her. Today was her second time wearing a full harness, including the bridle with blinders, and she is doing fantastic! Every time I work with her, she gets more accepting of the bit and today her owner started to learn how to ground drive! It's been a pleasure to work with Kai and her owner and know that the groundwork is there to build upon. I'm looking forward to returning this coming week to see how their homework is going. So excited to see where this pair goes!

Second show at Beginner Novice in the books yesterday at ending with a second place! Lucky proves every day that he is a smart, athletic, and adaptable wonder pony. After 30+ minutes of constant rain, stadium was a bit slick but he stayed confident to every fence, then proceeded to eat up the cross country course. Definitely lived up to his show name - the spicy meatball (Il Polpette Speziate) yesterday!
Super thankful for all the supportive people I have surrounding me, especially for helping both Lucky and me grow over the past 2 years to where we are now.

Looking forward to seeing and posting the pictures from the professional photographer soon!
