On May 10, Elizabeth Jaimes was sentenced to 70.8 months (just shy of 6 years) incarceration and must participate in an anger management program for her prolonged beating of a senior husky. Upon her release, she is required to serve three years probation, register with the animal abuser registry, and be prohibited from having any animals.

We found this sweet girl around Fruit & Shields in Fresno eating garbage (very thin) on the side of the road. She’s approximately a 6 month old puppy. Brindle/terrier mix, around 25lbs. She has a light blue collar, no tags, no chip.

Meet Duke!

This sweet boy was found alone in a canal at only 8 weeks old! He has since been in foster care and is ready for a forever home! He is very obedient, leash trained and knows commands such as sit and settle down. He listens very well! He is a mixed breed with very short hair and a beautiful tri-color pattern! He will be a medium sized dog.

Found Pyrenees pup on side of hwy 99. He’s either been abandoned or is lost. He’s only about 9 months old, emaciated & injured. We were able to get him out of the bushes, he is leash trained. Please share to find possible owner or foster asap!

Simple Analogy—Why we can’t save them all…

Every time rescue is asked to take an owner surrender- we have to somehow make room on our little raft for that dog.
When an owner says stuff like “I don’t have time to give them the best life” or “I have to move” or “they have too much anxiety” it really falls flat because that means if we bring them on the raft, another dog out there in the freezing water gets to die.

Every day rescue adjudicate life and death by gate keeping who can get on the boat.

Rescues and shelters are the tiny Rescue Boats.

The Ship is our community at large.

The iceberg is comprised of puppy mills, careless owners, backyard breeders, and a$$hats who won’t spay/neuter.

Please share! I tried to pick him up last night on my drive home but it was very difficult alone, he’s in the grapevine, local authorities have been ignoring the gas station employees phone calls too. He needs a team rescue ASAP.

This pup, male around 1 year old was dropped off and left by a man around 1 week ago according to gas station employees. He is very shy and scared but comes up to nibble on food given to him by a nice employee there. No one can take him home and the local animal control has not come to pick up. He is located at the 76 gas station in Lebec, just south of Bakersfield around the grapevine. Exact locations for serious rescuer only. Please share to any rescues that may be willing to pick him up. We are currently at max capacity too. Thank you for sharing!

Although her rescue video made several local news stations, no one has come forward to help foster or adopt her. No microchip, very nice, was found by canal, he is thin and was very hungry. Please contact us if you know who he may belong too. Verification required.

**Update** She’s much happier out of that canal! She’s currently under evaluation. She does not have a microchip. She does have a large laceration on her lip (recent) and around her eye from an apparent dog bite. She also has a good sized umbilical hernia. Appears to be around 2-3 years of age and has been bred before. She is extremely dog aggressive but good with people of both genders. If anyone has any idea who she may belong to please let us know! Thank you!

Today Danica and I drove by a canal and saw a dog stuck in the water, as we went to get her out somehow some very nice gentleman helped us out! We are so grateful to them for helping us!! Community heroes such as this need more recognition!
