Love between two rescued beings has no bounds. This is one of the kittens who was dumped on our road a few months ago and she’s living her best life. She and her other two sisters get spayed tomorrow and then they’ll be ready for their forever lives!
If there's one thing we've learned in rescue, the connections you make over the years will come back to help you when you need it the most.
Our girl Gypsy landed in a foster home after we begged and pleaded with the community to help us. Our amazing friend Deborah Smith in Melbourne, who was always a huge supporter of us when we were all back working at the shelter in Brevard, hooked us up with a friend of hers who was interested in fostering.
Today Gypsy did a meet and greet with the Goodson family in Suntree and she won them over...humans and canines alike!
Gypsy was spayed on Thursday and will remain with the Goodson's until she either finds her forever home or her original foster mom can take her back.
It literally takes a village to do this rescue thing and we have the very best village on the planet. Thank you to Gemma Millar for getting Gypsy in this past week for a medical checkup and spay. Eau Gallie Veterinary Hospital are our favorite people. Thank you to our friends at Dog Spot Hotel for taking such amazing care of her while she was in boarding. Thank you to our kickass volunteer DennisandHope Nerison for doing the meet and greet today and thank you to the Goodson Family for opening their home to a needy pup.
On a personal note, Veronica and I (Angie) spent this past week stressing out bigtime trying to find a place for Gypsy to go. I actually was thinking of flying to FL, renting a car and driving her back here to Ohio where I could get into one of my kennels. Rescue work is hard. Adoptions are non existent, money is scarce and so many animals need help. Thank you to the folks who follow our page and spread the word when we ask. We could never, ever do any of this without you all.

It's been one week since Kubbie found himself in the grip of a hawk. Luckily for him, that hawk had a weak grip and Kubbie landed in the right place at the right time. 🙂
After a rough few days, he's doing much better. Eating on his own and loves to play with his white boxer foster siblings.
Kubbie will be looking for a forever home in about a month. He'll be utd on all age appropriate shots and neutered.
He is located in Coshocton County, Ohio.

Do you think Bodhi was dreaming about the day he went home with the Ellingtons one year ago?
We like to think he has the best dreams ever since he was adopted.
Once "Skip" with a horrible case of mange, Bodhi now enjoys lazy days on the couch, sleeping in with his teens, and playing outside near the pool.
We love his family and he does, too.

Alright, we need our village to come through!
We have 4 pups on their way from Alabama right now and they are going to need some basic medical care very soon.
We would like to raise $150 per puppy to help cover their spay/neuter, vaccines, and chip. This means our goal is $600, so please share and donate if you can.
