Meet Fluffer-Doodle (28098), 🐱 who arrived with her litter of kittens back in April 2024. All her kittens have found homes, and now it’s Fluffer-Doodle’s turn! This vocal and affectionate girl loves getting pets and will follow you from room to room, eagerly seeking attention. 💕She adjusted quickly to our adoption rooms, gets along with other cats, and is still to be dog tested. She occasionally tries to play with other cats’ tails but can get startled by their reactions. Despite her playful nature, a slow introduction to new pets is recommended.

A fun fact about her name: “Fluffer-Doodle” is a playful nod to her habit of “farting” when nervous, as noted by her foster. 😆

Urgent Help Needed: Valley Animal Center’s AC Units Fail

We urgently need your help to replace three failed air conditioning units. These units are crucial for cooling our low-cost clinic, which provides essential services to thousands of animals each year, including spaying, neutering, wellness exams, and vaccines. We’re in a tough spot, the breakdowns have left us without cooling, and we don’t have the funds to replace these units. We’re raising $10,000 to $20,000 per unit to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our animals.

Our facility has a total of 21 units, all over 20 years old. It is all a matter of time until another unit fails. With your support, we hope to gradually replace these units, one at a time, before they break down. 🐾🏡 We're thrilled to share more stories! This week, we're celebrating several furry friends who have found their furever homes with loving families. Many of our kittens, who were recently out of foster care, are finding loving homes too! 🎉 There are still plenty of loving kittens waiting to be adopted and they would love to meet mew! 🐱💕But first, let's take a moment to applaud our incredible adopters, whose compassion has changed lives.

Today, we share the heartbreaking news that Quinn, the 10-year-old bulldog who came into our care in April, has passed away. After a lifetime of suffering, her tired eyes have closed for the last time, seeking the peace she was denied for so long. Quinn's story touched many, revealing the pain she endured to breed for puppies, where her spirit was dimmed and she was abandoned with visible scars. Quinn developed masses in her throat that severely impaired her breathing and caused her significant distress just days before she was set to move into her forever home. Though it's devastating that she was so close to finding the safe haven she deserved, we take comfort in knowing she felt love every day she was here. As Dr. Amy Bell, our veterinarian, said, “I’m grateful we could provide her with love and comfort in the last few months of her life.” Your support made Quinn’s care possible, and while losing her is deeply painful, we must continue our work for animals like her.
