Did you know that jumping spiders can see the moon?

Their eyes work like Galilean telescopes, allowing them to see objects that are 0.07 degrees apart. The full moon is about 0.5 degrees across the sky, so jumping spiders can easily spot it.

Introducing Severina, the daughter of Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger. She is currently a subadult, and I hope her vibrant coloring survives her adult molt. She looks just like her mother before HER final molt: Sabine's orange spots turned yellow. If you zoom in on the dark areas on Severina's back, you'll see that they are dark brown-black with orange stippling. She's one of the prettiest dark-phase girls I've ever produced.

Spider Walk With Me celebrates our 5-year anniversary today! We are filled with gratitude for the people who've opened their hearts to our lovable spiders and given them a home.

We pay special tribute to Big FAT Phids for their faith in our vision, which began with Quick Ben and Dryjhna the Apocalyptic. As we embark on the next five years, we're committed to sharing the delight of baby spiders and overcoming arachnophobia, one heart at a time.

Here's to a future filled with wonder and connection!

Amber Villasenor Toledo unboxing the spider we sent her. The spider's safety and comfort is always our number one priority, so in this heat we take several precautions:
🖤 Ice pack enclosed with the spider in an insulated foil package, surrounded by shipping peanuts in a larger box
🖤 Stickers reminding Fedex to "Handle with Care" and "Keep away from heat" along with a "Live Animal" label
🖤 Making sure the recipient is at home and available to sign for the box on the day of delivery (to prevent the spider from sitting on a hot porch)
🖤 In EXTREMELY hot conditions, shipping to a Fedex location to be picked up by the new owner (to prevent the spider from sitting in the back of a hot delivery vehicle)

Result: a happy, healthy spider ready to greet their new mom or dad 😊
