The vision for ACT has been brewing in the minds of the Animal Compassion Team founders for many years. The paths we have walked have prepared us and tested our determination through hard work, buckets of tears, mountains of f***l matter (a favorite topic of discussion amongst animal rescuers), and more then our fair share of discouragement and heartbreak. For the love of the animals we serve. It

is just that simple. Dogs, cats, and other wonderful animals are dying in huge numbers daily. We hope to help change that. We moved beyond the discussion phase and filed the paperwork necessary to become a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with the state of California and the Federal Government. It is a huge leap of faith for all of us who already feel overwhelmed by the work we are doing but we believe this is the time....this is what we have all been preparing for. One life saved makes all the effort and emotional investment worthwhile. This is going to be an exciting journey and we hope to post MANY happy endings on this blog. The animals are already arriving......stay tuned .....we have only just begun!

Some dogs see rain and run for cover… and then there’s Willow. 🤣☔ This girl saw the mud, embraced it, and became one with the puddles. 💦🐶 No hesitation, no regrets—just pure, unfiltered joy and a whole lot of mess!

Greetings to all our ACT friends and family, both near and far! We are excited to share that we are just 48 days away from our first fundraiser of the year, PAWPOWER—our 6th annual online auction, which will take place from April 17th through the 20th. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to have some fun, win some great gifts, and help us raise much-needed funds for our shelter.

Here’s how it works: The auction site can be found at [youcharityauction.com/act](URL). If you have participated in the past, all you have to do is wait until the morning of the 17th to get started. For those of you who haven't taken part in the auction before, now is the perfect time to register and join in on the fun! Best of all, participating in the auction is completely free; you’ll only need to make a payment if you're the highest bidder on an item when the auction closes. You won't be able to see or bid on items until the 17th.

In addition to being part of the auction, we are also on a mission to gather donations! If you have a favorite restaurant, hair salon, or a massage therapist you love, we would greatly appreciate your help in collecting gift cards or gift certificates from those businesses. Any and all types of donations are welcome! If you're able to help, please send any donations to ACT at 2789 S. Orange Ave, Fresno CA 93725, or to auction central at Doug Gray, 7733 N 10th St, Fresno CA 93720. Please remember, you do not have to live in our area to take part. There are many items that are not regional in nature. Many items will be shipped directly to you from our fulfillment center.

As St. Patty's Day approaches, Chef Jenny at Boo Boo Bean Bakery in Fresno is preparing a classic dinner fundraiser for ACT. This delightful dinner includes Corned Beef, Cabbage, Potatoes, Carrots, Irish Soda Bread, and a Chocolate Cupcake. For just $28.00, you can enjoy this delicious meal while supporting a great cause, as Chef Jenny is generously donating 35% of the bill to ACT.
How to Order
There are two convenient ways to order your meals:
• Scan the QR code on the flyer, which will take you directly to Eventbrite.
• Call Jenny at the bakery at 570.8093.
Pick-Up Information
Dinner will be available for pick-up on March 15th between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM at Boo Boo Bean Bakery. Please note that the cut-off for dinner orders is Friday afternoon, March 14th.

Nine years and counting. Ten thousand lives and counting. Animal Compassion Team is a team that is committed to saving and changing the lives of the homeless pets of the Central Valley of California. We work tirelessly on their behalf. Founded in 2009 by a group of friends who saw the need for change, ACT has been growing and going strong ever since.

We rely on financial support from wonderful donors such as yourself to save lives. We rely on the goodness of our volunteers to help us provide excellent care to those in our charge and we cannot say enough good things about our adopters: Without wonderful people providing home to our animals we could not move forward.
