Dog training education month In the month of February we celebrate “dog training education month” among a few other things. In honor of this we wanted to take a minute to thank all of the dog trainers out there. Training is hard work and takes tons of patience on both the owner and trainers behalf. While there are many methods of training it is important to realize that no one technique is right for every dog. While one dog may respond well to a prong collar or training collar another dog may shut down and require strictly positive reinforcement or clicker training. One dog may be crazy food motivated and love to work and train and another may respond only to toys. Keep this in mind when looking for the right trainer for your pup, flexibility is key! And do your research!!
