With 6 groomers, our availability has typically been pretty good. With triple digit weather upon us, our books are starting to fill up quickly. We suggest rescheduling after your pet's next appointment to avoid the wait. Contact us as soon as possible if your pet needs an appointment. Currently, there is a week wait for weekdays and a two month wait for weekends.
***Our weekend groomers are not taking new clients for weekends due to high rate of NO SHOWS. If you miss your weekend appointment, there will be an additional $25 fee added to your next visit.

Yesterday was quite the experience and I wanted to update everyone:
Unfortunately, we did not place but we learned so much! Did you know it is against the rules to sweep your area during the competition? I didn't! I just saw a broom and instinctively went for it 😅
Mr. Vega was very nervous and did his best trying to stay still. Lots of affection and words of affirmation during his time on the table. A big thank you to his family, Andrea Crystal Ochoa & Kristal Fagundes for helping us get through the day! The best cheerleaders around! Most importantly, thank you to Christine Pierson &
California Professional Pet Groomers Association, Inc for organizing this for us. Next year will be my 20th year of grooming and I wanted to scratch that competitive itch! Maybe Vega and I will be ready for Pasadena but we need a lot more practice working together 💜🖤...and we need to grow out his top knot 🤣

I have been grooming for 19 years but I have never competed so I figured I'd give it a shot 😁
I will be reaching out for a doggie model or if you'd like to volunteer your baby as my show dog, let me know! To get your baby's coat ready for the grooming competition, we would need to have him/her bathed and grown out prior to the show so we can work out a deal to have them groomed regularly.
Let me know if you are interested!
I will be searching for a Poodle or Doodle, preferably a client I have groomed before.

CALIGROOM CENTRAL REGISTRATION IS OPEN! This is a grooming competition for groomers with Novice or Intermediate grooming skills. Conducted by the California Professional Pet Groomers Association, Inc. and held in conjunction with the San Joaquin Kennel Club show in Lodi, we invite groomers to enter this grooming contest and spectators to come and enjoy the contest and the dog show.

How cute is he!

💙 Meet Calvin! 💙

Sweet boy Calvin was saved from a overflowing shelter. What we thought was a Pomeranian mix, turned out being some sort of fluffy frenchie, corgi, pekingese, magical creature. Calvin is 2 years old, and about 13 pounds. Calvin has energy for days and loves to run around the yard. A big yard is a must! He is good with other dogs and would benefit from a doggy pal. He does have a beautiful long coat that will require regular grooming. Calvin isn't a fan of cats. He is working on his potty training, but is crate trained however. Calvin is good with older well mannered children, but small children are not recommend. Calvin is as cute and unique as they come, with the most fun loving personality to match. Let's not forget that nub tail that requires his whole body to wiggle when he wags it!

A little before and after on our friend, Yoda! Big improvements for this little guy. In the past, he hated his face and feet touched. Now, he allows me to do what I have to do. I also don't push him, so we have come to an agreement: I don't make him do stuff he doesn't like and he doesn't bite me 😅

Our weekend groomers make themselves available for you and your pets every weekend, and we are so greatly appreciative of them! To avoid "groomer burn out" they will be taking a few days to celebrate anniversaries, some family time, and relaxation time. We appreciate your willingness to work with our team and their needs ❤️

We here at WOOFORIA, we would like to address concerns pet parents have regarding the dog illness that you may have heard about.

At our salon, we already practice stringent disinfecting processes. We have created a new protocol for safety:

1. Screening all clients before scheduling and during check-in to ensure that pets are feeling well.
No coughing, chest congestion, runny nose, or lack of energy or appetite. Our new puppies, without all their vaccinations, will have to wait to come in until after fully vaccinated and have talked to their vet.

2. We ask that if you see clients in the lobby, please wait outside until we have fully disinfected the lobby and have ensured that it is safe to enter. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR DOG TO GREET OTHER DOGS OR MEET NOSE TO NOSE.

3. We will be spraying and deep cleaning all supplies and tools or anything that comes in contact with pets.

4. We have also been advised from our local vets that all adult pets be fully up to date with vaccinations and especially boosters. Please, if you feel like it’s been at least a year since you last vaccinated your pet, please contact your vet to see if your pets need to be revaccinated

Please do not panic. Let’s be informed, let’s be proactive and prepared.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with your families! It was refreshing to spend some quality time with my in-laws and my little family.
❤️
After much consideration, I have made the difficult decision to no longer work weekends starting in 2024. This is most definitely not an easy decision as some of you have been our clients for nearly 14 years. I personally have been grooming for nearly 19 years and have worked weekends for that amount of time. Now, with a family of my own, it is now time for Derek and me to set aside time for our families. We have missed dozens of family events due to work over the years, and we don't want our little guy to experience this.
We will be making some changes that we hope will accommodate some of you. For those of you who are not able to come in during the week, the amazing Wooforia team that will continue to work weekends is more than happy to provide their services to you.
I know this is incredibly disappointing for most of you, but believe me, I have spent several days crying over this decision. Your pets and you have become part of my family, and I care for you all.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me, and I will do my best to get back to all of you.
