With summer almost here, its time to clean the dust from your doggies ears and get em ready for the upcoming planned road trips and morning outings to coffee and conversations. Let Joe at Way of a Dog help make it a little better transition from home and into the wild. It's the Way of a Dog.
Fritz and Honey1
I shot some short video of Fritz (Male) and Honey (Female). Do you have a home for them?
Understanding Jocko!
This shows just how dogs like Jocko can quickly get into trouble when they can so easily ignore physical and audible direct commands, after they have "locked on" to their target of interest. Snapping them out of their "obsession" is tough, but is needed to prove one's leadership to the dog. Way of a Dog
Prison Dogs
This is a video presentation that I made out of my behind the scenes footage of the making of a movie in a Coalinga California Prison, about a true life story of a prison escape using a woman who ran the Prison Dog Program and her dogs, and a prisoner who talked her into helping him. Meet the Prison Dogs: Rocco, Sully, Winnie and Jimmy. I was hired to be the Dog Wrangler for the movie. I wish to thank Kathleen Hendron, Sue Montgomery, Brooke Rummonds, and Carollyn Devore. Enjoy!
Meet Keiko and Kaya
Meet Keiko and Kaya...A pair of Mix 6 month old sisters who were dumped on a ranch out in Selma, and who are very afraid of people…and especially of having a leash put on them for the very first time. These two sweet doggies have begun their transition into domesticity. Be who your dog looks up to! Way of a Dog www.wayofadog.com
Piddles waits to eat
This is Piddles waiting for the command from his owner to go ahead and eat. He is smart and a quick motivated learner. Please make Piddles your new family member...by this week! All we want you to do then, is to love him and keep sending update pictures of Piddles in his new family.
Learning to walk and sit on Leash!
In this exercise, Piddles walks beside me at my pace... even as it changes...and at the end of this short segment, he will be asked to sit. Previously, it took me 5 or 6 repeats of the "sit" command to get him to sit. This time...it takes only one. Please consider taking Piddles into your home. (The cage muzzle is to keep him more focused during his training, and for my small doggie's safety) Do you have the need to start a one dog family? If so, them please pick Piddles! He will love you and protect you. Re-Home Piddles Now
Past years of Way of a Dog Clients and their Doggies
This is a pictorial looking back at over 4 years of my Dog Behavior Training business...Way of a Dog!.
Meet Bolt and Rocco
Meet bolt and Rocco…these two doggies will be having a Dog Day with me. They have been brought to me together because they have some issues to work out between them.
Their owner requested that they both experience my dog Day together, because They don’t really listen to her attempts to get their attention or for them to walk nicely together and to not drag her along in all directions when she takes them for daily walks. www.wayofadog.com
Bolt's Dog Day Journey
This video highlights Bolt as he goes through my Double and Triple Dog Day with Rocco and Jimmy and I. www.wayofadog.com
Meet Pickles
This is the second Dog Day for Pickles, over almost a year and a half. She has gotten slightly better over that time...but in the grand scene of things...it is minuscule. Her exuberance when she see's one of her owners or a house guest, Pickles insists on bowling them over with her jumps and paws and nose punches, just to get the love she so desperately wants, but what I intend to do, is show her that she only gets that love she so desperately craves, when she is calm and submissive, and not the dreaded Kraken :)) www.wayofadog.com
Meet Santos
Meet Santos...A frightened untrusting Chihuahua who is afraid of men and who bites anyone that enters into his home or who tries to pet him when he is in the arms of his owner. He is spending a Dog Day with me, to learn trust and relaxation.
Pickles and Jimmy playing.
Jimmy shows Pickles "He's Da Man!" during his playtime with her. Pickles is very passive and non aggressive in nature, but her constant excitement level gets her into trouble with her owners. She is easily distracted! It takes a strong leader with clear commands, to handle a dog like Pickles. Be who your dog looks up to! www.wayofadog.com
Beast is a recent addition to the ARF family of dogs. You should go see him just for his size.
