Are you passionate about animals and looking to make a difference in their lives? Happy Tails Rescue is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as part-time Animal Care Attendants. Whether you're an early bird or a night owl, we have positions available for both morning and evening shifts.

- Provide daily care and enrichment for animals in our care
- Assist with feeding, grooming, and cleaning of animal enclosures
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the facility
- Assist with adoption events

Requirements
- Previous experience working with animals preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

🐱 Our rescue is in dire need of dry cat food and non-clumping cat litter to care for our feline friends. Many cats rely on us for their daily meals and litter box needs, and your donations can make a huge difference in their lives.

🐶 Dry dog food to feed our canine companions is always welcome. Every pup deserves a full belly, and your contribution can ensure they receive the nutrition they need.

🧼 In addition to pet food, we also need cleaning supplies to maintain a clean and healthy environment for our animals. Items such as regular bleach, paper towels, and laundry detergent are greatly appreciated.

Happy New YEARS!

We had an AMAZING YEAR!!! Hundreds of cats, dogs, and critters saved. Our vet clinic opened to the public and our new adoption center finally was completed. It was a fantastic year!

HUGE thanks to all our staff, volunteers, fosters, adopters, and supporters!

We are hoping to save even MORE animals this year! Final number of animals saved in 2023 will be announced soon.

These are some things that would help us save even more animals this year!

1. ***** Fosters! The more foster homes we have, the more animals we can save. Always a huge need. There are 100's of dogs dying each day because there are no more foster homes available. Big/little/young/old pups all hoping for a place to crash for a little bit

Reddy is looking for his forever home!
Here's a bit about him from his foster family:

He is super sweet, submissive and will make you laugh everyday by his unique personality. He is getting used to being in a house, loves to play with the other dogs at my house and loves his kennel especially to store his treasures. He doesn’t like loud noises, sudden movements, going through tight spaces however loves to watch TV. We are working on walking on a leash and getting better everyday along with getting into a vehicle. Once he is in the vehicle he is perfect just not a fan of getting in it at the moment. He is very trainable and has responded well to directions.

This is Percy! He's a sweet pup that loves to play and get attention. Great with other dogs, young enough you can teach him to be good with cats. Good with kids, but might need help toning down the puppy antics if there's littles involved. He's about 5.5 months old.

Good evening HTR followers. I am sure you have seen my picture on this page a few times. I arrived to HTR in July. I have not had one application. I have seen many other fosters come and go. Every time a family comes over I am hoping they are coming to meet me, but they aren't.
I do not understand why. My foster mom says she doesn't understand why either. They tell me I am the bestest girl.

I try my hardest to follow all the rules. I am good in my crate. I go potty outside. I am respectful of the kids and other animals in my foster home (cats and dogs).

I am about 6 months old and under 30 lbs pounds. I should not be too big. I am a fun, happy-go-lucky puppy, and I love toys! I am told I am fun to be around and I would make a great companion for just about any family!

If you are looking to add a new furry family member to your household please consider me. If you are not looking- please share! I would love to go trick or treating with my new forever family.

Hi! My name is Peppa.

Before I was rescued life was rough. I lost a lot of my hair. It was stressful. I lived outside in the heat, had to find my own food, and had never been on a dog bed. Life is sure different now. You can take a look at my coat and tell how much better life is. Get to be inside away from the weather, get 2 meals a day- everyday!, and a nice fluffy bed. I keep being told that someday I will have my very own family. I am so excited.

Let me tell you a little about myself:

I am about 7 months old and 22 lbs. I should not get much bigger. I am very sweet and more on the laid back side. I like everyone I meet and would do well in most households.

I am being fostered with kids, cats, and dogs. I am good in a crate and seem to understand going potty outside. I am told I am calm for my age and I am a very nice dog. I hear "good girl" a lot and it makes me happy.

"My name is Parka. My puppies and I were left behind when my family moved out. My babies have all found a place, and now I am hoping it is my turn. I would love a family that won't leave me behind.
I am about 60lbs. I am good in most crates, and know that I should go potty outside. I walk well on a leash as well."

From the foster: Super loving pup. Loves cuddles and giving kisses. Will cuddle with you all night if you let her. Quiet all day and in the crate. Has lots of energy, needs active adaptors. Good with cats, and kids.
