PATCHES’ former owner called to say that yesterday, when he surrendered him, he was so upset, there was a misunderstanding about the dog’s living conditions for the last 3 months—PATCHES spent lots of time outside but was able to come in and definitely did not spend 24/7 outside
We’d like to introduce you to PATCHES. He’s a 9 year old Cocker Spaniel/King Charles mix who came into Harrison County Dog Pound in Cadiz, OH as a stray, but has been surrendered to the pound by his family. Please keep negative comments to yourself because not only does it not help find PATCHES a new family, this decision was made in the best interest of the dog and there were A LOT of tears shed over it. PATCHES needs a calm home. Not because he’s necessarily calm, but because he’s part Cocker and they often don’t have a high tolerance for chaos. PATCHES is afraid of other dogs, has never met a cat, and will tolerate kids until he won’t. He doesn’t want them bothering him or in his face so PATCHES needs a family without small kids who don’t know when to take a hint. PATCHES is not your furry lap dog. He’s an independent little dude who will come to you when he wants affection (kind of like a cat). He’s crate trained and his crate is his safe space. He likes to be left alone when he’s in it. PATCHES is neutered but not up to date on vaccines. He’s housebroken but likes the outside so he spent lots of time, but came in when he wanted, especially to sleep. He has a growth on his left side that appeared about 7-8 months ago but hasn’t gotten any bigger.
