Chrissy is a sweet cat that has been waiting 6 months in the shelter for a home of her own. Chrissy is 8 months old and is a bit shy until she knows you. As you can see she is very loving and gorgeous. She gets along great with all the other cats in our community cat room. Check out this amazing girl ❤️
Pokey (Pocahontas) is such a quick learner. She is a medium size dog at 48 pounds. She likes playing with Thor, Daisy Mae and people. She is not reactive to cats, in fact she is afraid of them. This little girl would love to curl up with a person of her own this winter.
Blitzen is still waiting for his forever home. He is such a sweet pup!

So this is what we do...
One of our volunteers got to the scene first and video taped while waiting for the other woman to arrive with the shelter van and necessary equipment to safely catch the six abandoned dogs.
Abandoned animals are frightened and don't know who they can trust. Rarely do they run up to a stranger and readily hop into their vehicle.
Please understand these poor babies were terrified, making it very difficult to catch them while keeping them from getting hit by a car or escaping into the cornfield.
All six dogs were caught and brought to our shelter. They are now safe in foster care!
It was a good day. We saved six more lives.
