So this is what we do...
One of our volunteers got to the scene first and video taped while waiting for the other woman to arrive with the shelter van and necessary equipment to safely catch the six abandoned dogs.
Abandoned animals are frightened and don't know who they can trust. Rarely do they run up to a stranger and readily hop into their vehicle.
Please understand these poor babies were terrified, making it very difficult to catch them while keeping them from getting hit by a car or escaping into the cornfield.
All six dogs were caught and brought to our shelter. They are now safe in foster care!
It was a good day. We saved six more lives.

Eevie is almost 10 months old and has come so far since arriving at the shelter at the end of December. She didn't want anything to do with anybody those first few months.
