This year, Rex, who has been coming to Friendsville for years, got his family to join in the fun. He collaborated with the art department to come up with the perfect pose! [Friendsville Scholarship Pet Rosie!]

Rosie can now really look at the world through rose-colored glasses because she has a purple collar promise from The Animal Protectorates forever!

Thank you for supporting her through a rough patch - from curling under nails and infected skin to being so weak she could barely stand. Because of your support, this
sweetheart is stable! Rosie is the little engine who could. She has a deep voice but a little body.

Friendsville Scholarship Pet LIL RED is an adorable quirky fun energetic friendly (sometimes insecure) little girl! She is approximately 1 year old. Nothing would make her happier than having a home where someone is around most of the day and who also lets her sleep in the bed. The first step to adopting a Scholarship Pet is to complete an application at www.tapsusa.org . The adoption radius is 25 miles from 37737 - this limit is because volunteers conduct home visits prior to every adoption. Thank you for wanting to give an orphaned pet a home.

[Friendsville Scholarship Pet Adoption #115]
Penny was so weak and thin when she arrived from the shelter that our veterinarian wouldn't put her under anesthesia to extract some rotting teeth. We had to stabilize her first and it was 50/50 that we could. With the help of transport volunteers taking her to and from the vet multiple times and other volunteers hand feeding her until her appetite came back, we did stabilize her and she had her dental procedure. After getting rid of those yucky teeth, Penny bounced back quickly! She steals everyone's hearts with her gentle nature and loving heart. Penny is a senior and this senior wanted a pet just like her - a dog who is older and in need of a home with someone who understands.

Each year, thousands of pets go missing and aren't reunited with their families because they didn't have any way to tell a human where they belong. Unlike GPS tracking devices on a collar (which can easily be removed), a microchip (which is about the size of a grain of rice) is inserted into a pet. If they go missing and are taken to a facility such as a shelter or vet's office with a microchip scanner - the facility can contact the microchipping company who can contact you (that is why it is important to always keep your information current with the microchip company).

The free microchipping event is sponsored by The Animal Protectorates. It will be held in the parking lot at Saving Spot from 11a-1p - it will be first come first serve until the time or microchips run out.

[TN] Friendsville Scholarship Pet MOJO is 5lbs of perpetual puppy! He likes anyone anytime - he can go from sleep mode to play mode in 2 seconds flat! We aren't quite sure what blend he is - maybe some terrier with some poodle in there. He doesn't seem to shed. If you want the travel-anywhere-companion type of dog - Mojo is him!

[Scholarship Pet Adoption #114]
Iris (left) has 2 microchips, but unfortunately, neither was ever registered. When she arrived as a stray at the shelter, there was no way to contact her people. So, we stepped in not only to become her temporary guardian - until we found the perfect home for her - but forever through our purple collar promise to always be her backup plan. Iris is now living in a beautiful home, has a pool, a sister and family who think dogs are as awesome as we do. PS - both of her microchips are now registered.
