We adopt out dogs & cats from Texas to WA, OR, UT, ID, OH, VA, CT, VT, NY, PA, while also focusing on local Texas adoptions. The animals that come into our program are placed in foster homes or boarding, given time to decompress and receive proper medical treatment, then they are posted for adoption in northern states for families like you to adopt

Meet Tally!

Tally is the perfect social butterfly, and gets along so well with people, kids of all ages, and, of course, other dogs. She is around several litters of puppies daily, so she's very well socialized and sometimes seems much older than she actually is. But this adorable girl epitomizes puppy charm—playful, sweet, and curious. She enjoys toys and soft stuffies, is treat-motivated, and loves to roll over for playful belly rubs and chest scratches.

Tally is very affectionate and loves to give kisses, and this cheerful girl will plop right next to you for cuddles and snuggles. Her day consists of playing with her foster siblings, napping, and starting all over again—genuinely living the puppy life to the fullest.

Clever Tally already does really well on a leash, and doesn't require much correction - we are so impressed with her ability to learn quickly and adjust to different situations on the fly. She pranced back and forth through our busy rescue location during a transport day - the busiest and loudest day of our week - without breaking stride.

We cat-tested her with our cranky housecat Tom and, after a quick swat to the nose, Tally chose to avoid Tom thereafter (always the best choice). We think she'd do great in a house with cats and would give them their privacy and space. Because Tally has been so well socialized already, she would fit right into a family with other dogs and soon be a part of your pack.

Meet the extra loving Lucy! She is currently almost 20 pounds, 2 months old, and we think she may be a German Shepherd/Black Mouth Cur mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess!

We rarely make middle name suggestions, but Lucy's middle name should clearly be LOVE. This friendly patient girl knows no strangers, greeting everyone with tail wags and kisses, if you let her. (Pro tip: you gotta get all the Lucy love; it's life-changing.) Lucy is currently in a loving foster home with lots of other foster dogs of all ages and sizes, so she is very well socialized. Her foster mum says that she is perfectly content just cuddling on the couch next to you, and is a rock star car rider. (We can see lots of road trips in your and Lucy’s future.) This dream girl is extra affectionate and so happy to meet new people – everyone is a friend ready for kisses in Lucy’s world, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Lucy is well on the path to potty training and does well in her crate, so this clever girl is learning all the right things! She is such a loving girl, and will deliver all the kisses you give her right back too, plus extra for interest. (She’s all about being fair, you know.) Lucy’s favourite game right now is tug of wat with a toy, but she also appreciates a good chew bone too. We recommend having lots of stuffies and chew toys around so Lucy can pick and choose her favourites (and we think it will be ALL of them, lol).

Lucy has dark ‘eyebrows’ above her eyes that she uses to perfection. This charismatic girl can melt you with a single glance of those liquid puppy dog eyes. Lucy is gorgeous in the sunlight – you can really see all the colours of her soft coat shine. Like most puppies, she is very treat-motivated, and we think this clever little lady will be super easy to train. In just a single session, Lucy was showing understanding and completion of sit, stay, and down – all for treats, of course – and we are so impressed with this superstar! (She's also wonderfully patient and endured lots of dress up for her photo shoot - she's such a dream!) It’s really hard to resist this charming girl when she rolls over to show you her gorgeous belly, so we recommend that you simply…don’t resist!?! Jump in there with chest scratches and belly rubs at all times – we promise that you won’t regret loving on the lovable Lucy!

Meet Scout!

Scout is as precious as they come. Being her foster mom's favorite out of a litter of 6 kittens is not an easy task! Scout hopes to win over your heart just as much as she did hers.

Scout is sweet, cuddly, loving and enjoys being held and getting affection. She is the cutest lil' thing.

She does amazing with other kitties and is very sweet and gentle towards everyone. She happily purrs away as long as she's being loved on.

Meet Ginger Family Girl!

Ginger is a stunning three-year-old with a beautiful red coat and a gentle, loving nature that makes her an ideal family dog. Weighing around fifty-five pounds, she's fantastic with kids of all ages, making her a perfect companion for families.

Ginger loves spending time at the park, happily watching her foster kids play, but she truly shines during cozy family nights in. Meet Pippa Bambi! Pippa is a 9-month-old Chihuahua/lab mix (we think it's always a guess!) who has a zest for life that is contagious! She is currently 25lbs and is a playful gal who loves to show off her puppy parkour skills! Pippa is currently working on her potty, crate and leash training with her awesome fosters. She loves nothing more to greet them enthusiastically when they get home! HOW CUTE IS COSMO!!

Cosmo is a delightful 5-month-old puppy weighing only 35 pounds, and on the lookout for his forever family. This little guy is a bundle of joy, full of energy, and always ready to brighten your day! 💖 This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place.

Cosmo is incredibly affectionate and playful, with a routine that’s all about eating, sleeping, playing, and repeating. He absolutely adores his toys, especially tennis balls, and he dreams of a home where he’ll be spoiled with plenty of them. 🎾 We did not see any resource guarding behaviour with toys, and this is perhaps because he comes from a foster home with lots of dogs of all ages. His playful spirit and love for fun make every moment with him an adventure.

Cosmo is not just a toy lover; he’s also a social butterfly. He loves to meet new people, greeting everyone with tail wags and kisses. This adorable boy gets along wonderfully with people and kids of all ages, quickly fitting in with the many big dogs in his current foster home. This makes him an excellent fit for a multi-pet household. 🐶👧👦 His friendly and gentle nature ensures that he’s a joy to have around and a perfect companion for both children and other pets. Meet Bruno a 3-year-old Pit/Lab Mix (we think, it's always a guess!) who is polite, easy going and absolutely loves to be your co-pilot! This boy is a solid 64lbs of pure love and his foster family absolutely gushes over him! Meet Chevy Casas a 4-month-old lab (maybe a mix- but it's always a guess with rescue!) with the most boopable nose this side of the Rio Grande! Soooo sweet, so soft, so beautiful.

🌟❤️Meet Addie Patrick! 🌟❤️

✅ Addie is around 4 years old, and we suspect her to be a Pomeranian, Aussie mix. She is a rescue, so exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Addie weighs in around 30 pounds right now, but she’s on a little weight loss journey!

😍Her coat is so fluffy and soft, and she has the cutest teeny tiny paws we’ve ever seen! 🧍‍♂️ She is soooo loving and people-friendly.

❤️ Addie loves love- belly rubs, snuggles, gentle pets, she’s always available for some affection. Addie is so friendly, a social🦋 butterfly, she’s perfect for a big family or a frequent host/hostess.

🐕 Addie did well meeting other dogs here at the rescue, but she wasn’t interested in playing with our energetic big dogs. She interacted with them kindly, stepping out of the way of their rambunctious antics, no growling, barking or snapping from this sweet girl!

🏠 We think that Addie would do best in a home with other sweet, calm dogs like her, or as a solo-dog. With other dogs around, 🦴 Addie is great at sharing affection, treats and attention. 🐈 Addie likes kitties! She’s not playful with them, but here at the rescue she perked up a bit upon seeing our house cat Tom.
We believe she would love some kitty housemates.

🦮Addie walks well on leash, when you’re using a real leash attached to her real collar. She doesn’t like to walk on leash when using a harness or a slip lead!
👑 Addie is a bit of a princess about some things, but with a face that cute, she kind of deserves to be. She’s still learning to embrace the vastness of the world, and sometimes being out of the yard, on leash, can feel a bit vulnerable for her.

🍭 Addie is super food-motivated and trusting of her people, so a little positive reinforcement will go a long way here. Addie’s perfect home has at least one loving human to call her own. She would prefer a home with a yard, so she doesn’t have to face the big, scary world on leash every time she needs to potty.

💝Addie is working on her confidence, and will need an adopter that is committed to training and socializing her. She will need her forever family to be patient and kind, allow her to fully decompress in her new environment, build her confidence over time, and provide many, many pets.
🐶 She could live with other dogs, but would prefer to live with older, calmer dogs like her- established Good Dogs. 🐱 Addie loves cats and wouldn’t mind a feline housemate or two.

😍We believe she’s about 3 years old and weighs 75 lbs. 🐕 🚪Ruby's foster mom says she uses the doggy door like a champ and doesn’t have any accidents in the house.

🦴 She is very treat motivated so training should be a breeze with this girl! 🚘 She loves to go for car rides! She would enjoy going with you on errands runs and road trips! 🐶 This girl loves to meet new dogs on a leash and walks very well with a gentle leader. With this special leash she is easy to walk.

✅ She passed her touch test with flying colors and has no aversions to being touched anywhere! Ruby is all about affection. She is so gentle with children and has been with kids as young as 3 years old.

🐈 She was fostered with cats but she will chase them. She doesn’t bite them, but the chasing can cause chaos so it would be best for her to be in a cat-free home! She would so best in a home as the only dog or paired with an aloof, independent dog.

❤️🐶This sweet boy can go from a seemingly shy boy to the smiliest lover with just the sound of sweet talk!

💡 It was amazing to see him light up when we started talking sweet, he understands that it’s directed at him and it means he is loved and appreciated.
💕Hunter Smalls… because what he hunts for is small- a sweet talking someone of his very own.

🐕At an estimated 2 years old, Hunter has a calm demeanor that typically only comes with age.

🐕🐈He is a petite 39 lbs of calm, dog-friendly, cat-tolerant, peaceful companionship. Aside from the power sweet talk has over him, my favorite thing about Hunter is his contentedness.

🏠 Whether its out in the yard or in the living room, he is happy to share space with in your company. You don’t need to entertain him and he won’t be pestering you for endless games of catch. This gentle soul can be a touch shy at first, but once he senses your warmth and the sweet talk begins, he opens up to show you his loving nature.

🌟 With his calm demeanor and quiet disposition, Hunter is going to be a wonderful companion to you and other dogs at home.

🤵 He is a gentleman in the company of other dogs, showing a playful side while maintaining his cool even when other dogs get a bit pushy.. A home with a calm, friendly companion would be a dream! In rescue we cannot know age or breed with any guarantee but believe he may be a black mouth cur mix. ❤️Thanks to his size and incredibly calm and content nature, Hunter has potential to be an apartment boy but he would love a cozy home with a little yard to explore and occasionally nap in.

Gucci is here! He is the last of his litter and would love to find his forever home!

He is currently about 20 pounds, about 3 months old, and we think he may be a German Shepherd/Lab mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess!

Gucci is currently in TX but can transport to PNW or East Coast

This lovable boy is so gentle and easygoing.

He is currently in an experienced foster home with several other larger dogs and gets along with all of them well.

He loves to play with toys and soft stuffies and can often entertain himself for hours, but his favorite thing is to play with you, of course!

Gucci is adept at puppy life, which is mostly napping, eating, and playing. And then napping again – it’s a tough schedule, lol. We love the puppy life!

Hello! I'm Cooper Roadie.

I'm a 5-year-old boy, the perfect size at around 42 lbs. Although the rescue breed is always a guess, I likely have some cattle dog in me because of my herding behaviors!

Cooper is a sweet and smart dog who thrives in smaller playgroups and quieter settings.

Cooper is dog-friendly and gets along well with cats, showing no interest in them, and he has previous experience living with felines.

He is adorable and affectionate. He wouldn't mind being the spoiled-only dog, but would also do fine with a more submissive female dog in the home

This intelligent pup knows several tricks like sit, crawl, and spin, and his adorable, big “Yoda” ears are a standout feature. If you’re looking for a charming dog who’s ready to shower you with affection and join you in some fun activities, Cooper is the perfect match!

Say Hello to Arrow!

He sure is handsome, but he’s not all looks, he’s got a great personality to go with it. Smart, fun, playful, and sweet, this boy has it all!

Arrow is a social butterfly who loves everyone he meets.He will happily greet everyone with joy. Oh, and he’s great on the leash too!

Arrow thrives with his doggy friends and is very dog-social. He currently lives with 2 dogs, but he’s also had playdates with other dogs and he always does great. He really enjoys playing with his doggy friends.

8 months old, he’s still just a pup and loves to play. His favorite toys are stuffed animals. He also enjoys splashing around in the pool when it’s warm out.

After playtime he loves to cuddle up on the couch and take a nap with you. He knows how to chill and rest. He loves affection and loves to snuggle.

We think Arrow will probably be about 50 lbs when he’s full grown, and we think he may be a Shepherd/Lab mix, but with rescue it’s all just a guess.

Prepare for a life filled with his joyful spirit and lots of puppy kisses, making every day brighter with Arrow by your side!

Meet Sable!

Sable, a loving and confident five-year-old Belgian Malinois looking for a knowledgeable owner who understands her breed. Sable is a people-lover through and through, always seeking attention and affection from those around her.

She is friendly towards strangers and walks well past other dogs when out and about. She’s also crate trained and will obey when you tell her to get in without whining.

Sable's ideal home includes a backyard where she can roam, and she'll appreciate high fences to keep her safe and secure.

A home without cats and smaller dogs is would be great for Sable. Since she can get excited meeting people, a house with older kids or no kids would be best! But a home with toys would be a dream for Sable!

Handsome, gentle, loving, loyal and fun-loving. He’s great with 🐈 cats , dogs 🐶 and kids 👧, eager to please and HIGHLY trainable. 100% GOOD dog! We believe Flinn to be a two-year-old labrador Retriever, Black Mouth Cur mix.

He is currently in a foster home with THREE CATS, and foster mom says in a home environment, Flinn craves human companionship and enjoys hanging out on the couch, and getting head scratches. Flinn LOVES kids, he’s incredibly gentle and patient with them. He is house trained and likes to sunbathe as well (even though the heat in TX is horrible 😄) .

Oh, where do I even begin with Jessica? She’s simply the best dog ever, and I’m head over heels in love with her! From the moment you meet her, you’ll see what I mean—this girl is an absolute gem, wrapped in a stunning brindle coat that only hints at the beauty inside. It’s no wonder she’s everyone’s favorite dog at Rustic—especially with the kids—Jessica is just that special!

Jessica is the kind of dog that steals your heart in an instant. She’s got those soulful eyes that look right into yours as if she understands every word you say. And don’t even get me started on her personality—she’s the sweetest, most affectionate girl you’ll ever meet. Yes, she’s a bit larger than your typical lap dog, but that doesn’t stop her from trying to curl up close and give you all the love she has. And let me tell you, that’s a lot of love!

One of the things I adore most about Jessica is her incredible balance of being both a certified couch potato and a playful pup. She’s a pro at lounging—whether it’s sprawled out on the couch or nestled at your feet, she knows how to relax like no other. But the moment you’re ready to play, she’s right there, tail wagging and ready for fun. A yard to run and play in would be her idea of paradise, and she’d be over the moon to go on daily walks with you. She’s also a total water baby—Jessica can’t resist a splash in the kiddie pool, and I just know she’d be the happiest girl getting the chance to swim and embrace her inner beach bum!

When it comes to manners, Jessica is an absolute dream. She’s incredibly well-behaved—rarely barks, doesn’t jump, comes when called, and sits when told. She’s 100% potty trained, which is just another reason why she’s the best girl ever! She’s also mastering basic commands, and her love for squeaky toys is just too cute for words. Watching her play will bring a smile to your face every single time.

Jessica is a social butterfly through and through. She loves puppy playgroups and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all ages and sizes, from her tiny buddies to her larger friends. She absolutely adores kids and has a special bond with everyone she meets—especially the kids at Rustic, who can’t get enough of her. She’s gentle and loving with her foster mom’s elderly father, too. And while she’s a social girl, Jessica also appreciates her alone time to unwind and relax. She’s crate trained and well-behaved at home, though if she had her way, she’d be at your feet or snuggled up at the end of your bed every night.

In short, Jessica is perfection in dog form. She’s everything you could ever want in a furry companion—loyal, loving, playful, and endlessly affectionate. Most of all you should know I love kids! I get along great with all ages that are okay with my size! I’m very gentle and I have a high tolerance to being poked and picked up!

I’m a blend of Pitbull and Weimaraner, giving me a wonderfully balanced energy level.
