The day after Christmas, Thunder was fighting for his life.

He had been stabbed, his injuries were severe, and without immediate medical care, his story could have ended very differently.

But then this community did what it always does — you showed up.

Because of your generosity, we were able to rush Thunder to get the critical treatment he needed. And just like that, hope replaced fear. Day by day, he began to heal, proving just how strong this boy truly is.

And then came the miracle we didn’t see coming…

Thunder had a microchip.

That tiny chip led us straight back to the family who had been desperately searching for him — the people who love him more than words can say. Today, Thunder is home, safe, and exactly where he belongs.

This is the power of compassion.
This is the importance of microchips.
And this is what happens when a community refuses to look away.

Thank you to every single person who donated, shared, and cared. You didn’t just save Thunder’s life — you reunited a family. 💛

She didn’t pick a porch because it was safe.
She picked it because it was the only place she had.

Yesterday in rural Rosharon, Texas, a stray mama gave birth to her newborn puppies on someone’s front porch — with no shelter, no protection, and no one planning to step in. Without help, those tiny lives would soon be mobile enough to wander into the road, where their chances of survival were slim.

Volunteers spent hours trying to safely secure her, but she was too frightened to come to a leash. Taking the babies without their mother wasn’t an option, so the team made the difficult call to wait for backup.

Today, Brazoria County Animal Control partnered with Three Little Pitties Rescue to humanely trap mom, allowing this family to bypass the shelter entirely and go straight into foster care.

Now this quiet, nervous mama and her surviving puppies are safe in the experienced hands of Monica — one of our incredible foster heroes who specializes in caring for fragile newborn litters.

Rosharon is one of many communities still overwhelmed with stray dogs. Over the years, Three Little Pitties Rescue has saved well over 1,000 animals from this area alone, while continuing outreach efforts to provide spay/neuter and vaccinations so fewer families are born into crisis.

And none of this happens alone. Donations of puppy food, pads, and essentials from our Amazon wish list are what allow fosters to say yes when situations like this unfold. Because when supporters show up from a distance, entire families get a chance at life. 💛

John and Alaina Tate are Three Little Pitties Rescue’s Foster Heroes of the Year for 2025. The kind of couple who quietly change lives just by showing up — together. As current foster parents to Zora, Archie, and Harper, they’ve opened their home and their hearts, giving safety, structure, patience, and steady love to dogs who needed someone to say, “You’re safe now.”

Fostering isn’t always easy. It’s late nights, early mornings, vet runs, training wins and setbacks, and loving deeply while knowing goodbye is part of the deal. John and Alaina step into all of it side by side, with grace, determination, and a deep commitment to doing right by every dog in their care.

At any given time, more than 1,000 animals are part of our program — most of them living in foster homes. This rescue quite simply would not exist without fosters. Every open door, cleared couch, and willing heart makes room for the next life saved.

To John and Alaina, and to every foster who shows up day after day — thank you. This work happens because of you.

Fair warning: your plans for 2026 may be repeatedly interrupted by staring at cute animals.

Our 2026 Calendar is officially here and it’s packed with 12 months of real Three Little Pitties Rescue dogs and kittens — the very same faces who came through rescue, found love, and stole our hearts along the way. Every page is a little reminder of why this work matters (and why you might run late admiring whiskers).

It’s full color, professionally photographed, includes all the major holidays (yes, National Dog Day made the cut), and every single dollar supports rescue animals and the care it takes to get them home.

Perfect for animal lovers, gift-givers, or anyone who could use a daily dose of hope and happy tails.

Adoptable puppy alert — and this one’s the kind that makes you stop scrolling real fast.

Daniel is about 4 months old, sitting around 15–18 lbs right now, and already stealing hearts everywhere he goes. He’s expected to grow into that just-right medium size (roughly 35–50 lbs), and his personality is already shining bright. The moment he landed in a foster home, he blossomed — confident, curious, and ready to be part of the action.

He’s living with dogs of all sizes and doing beautifully. Potty training and crate training are coming along strong, and he’s already mastered stairs and couch life like a pro. Daniel loves a good zoomie session, especially with squeaky toys (fair warning: he’s a power chewer), but once the energy is out, he’s all about cuddling up and catching a nap right next to you.

One of the sweetest things about Daniel besides his cute black & white fur? His heart. He’s learning how to play gently with a tiny foster pup who has a broken leg — and he’s taken that job seriously, adjusting his play without being told. It’s the kind of emotional intelligence you don’t see every day in a puppy this young.

Daniel is still a baby and will thrive with a family ready to commit to training, routine, and all the growing that comes with puppyhood. In return, he’s offering loyalty, laughter, and a whole lot of kisses.

Daniel is ready to be part of a family. To learn more and say yes to him, head to the link in bio and search his name to view his full profile. Transport from Texas happens every two weeks to the PNW, Midwest, and East Coast — adventure included.

Where Are They Now: Linsey Mae 🤍

Not long ago, Linsey Mae was standing in the middle of a county road in Alvin, Texas — cars flying by, her life hanging in the balance. Traffic had to be stopped just to reach her and save her little family. One wrong moment and her story could have ended there.

Today, she wakes up to fresh Vermont air, soft beds, and a life that feels worlds away from that terrifying road. From dodging headlights to chasing snowflakes… Linsey Mae is living proof of why we fight so hard for the ones who have nowhere else to turn. 🌄🐾

This is what love, community, and second chances look like.

Twisted Tea update 🐾 this bubbly little lady is officially ready for her next chapter.

Miss Tea is the kind of kitten who walks into a room like she owns the place — friendly with people, cats, dogs, and anyone lucky enough to cross her path. Ear scratches? Instant purr motor. Playtime? She’s all in, zooming around with toy mice like prized possessions.

She was born with a deformity in her back left leg, but it hasn’t slowed her down one bit. Down the road, that leg will be amputated, and she’s expected to live a full, happy, active life as a tripod kitty. Truly — she doesn’t know she’s any different and has no plans to start now.

Currently living with an adult cat and a large dog, Twisted Tea fits right in and makes herself at home fast. Confident, cuddly, playful, and full of heart — she’s the real deal.

If you’ve been waiting for a social, spirited kitten who brings joy everywhere she goes, this sweet girl might just be the one.

To bring Twisted Tea home, use the link in the bio or search her name on the website to view her full profile.

Fostering is the best decision you didn’t know you were ready for.

It’s opening your home “just for now” and realizing how much can change in a short amount of time. It’s watching scared turn into safe, unsure turn into confident, and lonely turn into loved.

Every animal in this collage is in a foster home — learning routines, sleeping on couches, figuring out toys, and discovering what it means to be part of a family. None of that happens without people willing to say yes.

Getting started is simple. All medical care and supplies are covered — fosters just provide the love and a safe place to land. Sign up using the link in bio or head to the website to learn more.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this is your sign.

Our partner shelter is overflowing after New Year’s Eve fireworks sent dogs running — and they need relief now.

These dogs are safe for the moment, but space is critically tight. To step in and help, boarding is the only option until foster homes can be secured. That care comes at $30 per day, per dog on average all costs considered.

Covering just one week for these four each buys time — time to line up fosters, move dogs out of the shelter, and prevent impossible choices from being made.

Every single day matters here. Opening up space saves lives, plain and simple.

If you can open your home, help spread the word, or chip in toward their care, please reach out.

Email [email protected] if you can foster. Ways to donate are listed in our bio and comments.

Grateful for every share, every yes, and every dollar that helps keep this mission moving forward.
