Because someone said yes, Jack is now safe, loved, and finally getting the chance to just be a dog again. And Wookie? He’s cleaned up and looking great thanks to -but what he really needs now is a foster to help him take that next step.

And a special shoutout to our amazing staff working behind the scenes today to make sure every dog in our care is safe, loved, and celebrated. You are the heart of this mission, and we’re so grateful. 💙

Another transport in the books! Our big red buses rolled out tonight with 150 (!!!) rescued animals to delivered them to their adoptive families! We couldn’t be prouder of the incredible teamwork that made it happen. 

Shoutout to our amazing fosters — y’all are the heart of this mission. Watching this community show up with so much care and compassion never gets old. It’s pure magic every time.

If you’re new here, hi! We’re an all-breed rescue out of Friendswood, near Houston TX. Our goal? To move dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters and off the streets in Texas to loving homes across the PNW, Midwest, and East Coast. We run our own transport to get them to their families across the United States.

Overpopulation here is real, and we’re working hard to give these animals the fresh start that they deserve.

Only one more sleep until the big celebration! 🇺🇸🎆 While we’re getting ready for food, fun, and fireworks—let’s not forget how overwhelming (and hot!) it can be for our pets.

Here are a few simple ways to keep them safe, calm, and cool this 4th of July:

✨ Fireworks don’t just happen on the 4th—keep an eye (and ear) out before and after the holiday.
✨ Keep pets indoors in a quiet, secure space—loud booms can cause them to bolt or hide.
✨ Do a quick home check for open gates, loose screens, or escape routes.
✨ Make sure their ID tags and microchip info are up to date.
✨ Register them for —a single photo could bring them home if they get lost.
🔥 And with the heat? Keep walks short, avoid hot pavement, and give them plenty of fresh, cool water. A kiddie pool or frozen treats can help too!

Do the looks on their faces do to you what they’ve done to us?

Because it’s killing us. And we’ve made a promise—we’re coming for them.

These dogs are sitting in an overcrowded rural shelter outside of Houston, Texas. There’s no adoption program. No walk-ins.

The only way out is through rescue.
And this week, we’re going to be that rescue.

We can’t save them all—we know that.

We’ve lost sleep over the ones we couldn’t. And we carry the weight of the ones we’ll never get the chance to reach.

But these dogs? They still have a chance. And we are not letting that slip away.

He survived the streets. He beat the odds. Now he’s just waiting for someone to choose him. 💛

Meet Curly.

He was found in Pearland, Texas alongside another dog, Bucky—both starving and barely hanging on. A kind foster named Laura stepped in, and we were able to get them into our care.

Bucky was in critical condition. Despite extensive medical care and every ounce of love we could give, his body was just too far gone. 💔

Curly made it.

Now he’s safe, healthy, and waiting in Washington for a family to call his own.

His foster says it best:
“Curly is a rare gem. One of those dogs that fits into your life like he’s always been there. He’s calm, steady, house-trained, amazing with other dogs, gentle with kids, and full of love. We adore him—and he deserves a family of his own.”

The stray crisis in Houston is overwhelming. Curly’s story is just one of thousands—but he’s one of the lucky ones who got a second chance.
