Happy Birthday to our sweet sweet Stephanie! She is always the sunshine in the room with the most positive outlook. She spent her birthday at work with us today comforting dogs during their nail files, exactly like she would be doing any other Saturday. In the wake of Hurricane Beryl, we are once again receiving reports of calls to Houston residents who have recently lost pets asking for payments over the phone using a phone number masked to show BARC's customer service line: 832-395-9084.

Reports have stated that this individual is falsely claiming that BARC has their pets and they require urgent medical treatment, then requesting payment over the phone. Please be aware that BARC does 𝗻𝗼𝘁 solicit payments over the phone for any reason. If you receive a call requesting payment and claiming affiliation with BARC, we urge you to immediately disconnect the call.

BARC is open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm to search for lost pets at our 3200 Carr entrance. Please visit us during our open hours if you need assistance or have any concerns regarding your lost pet.

Thank you for your attention to this matter and Please help us spread awareness to prevent further scams in our community.
