Always take action if you see a pet left inside a hot car 2. **Watch the humidity**: - High humidity amplifies the negative impact of high temperatures on pets. - When animals pant, moisture from their lungs evaporates and helps reduce body heat. However, high humidity hampers this process, leading to rapid increases in body temperature. 3. **Limit exercise on hot days**: - Adjust the intensity and duration of exercise according to the temperature. - On scorching days, limit exercise to early morning or evening hours. - Be especially cautious with short-nosed breeds (difficulty breathing). - Avoid walking pets on hot asphalt to prevent burns on their paws.
