a family member had this sweet pup show up on her porch and I asked her to bring her to me today so I could help get the matting off because it was clear she was matted. She agreed but I simply could not sleep last night because I just kept thinking about how uncomfortable this poor girl must be with the matting, and at that point I had no idea how bad it was. I just really had to do something about it. So at 3 am I drove out there to get the dog, I felt her legs and they were solid. The mats were SOLID! Some of the matting was so tight I didnt think I would be able to handle it, I thought I was going to have to take her to a vet for it to be removed. Thankfully she was so well behaved that we were able to get through it, her tails was worse than her legs. I couldnt even tell her gender until i shaved her. Matted and caked in f***s. But she was so well behaved, such a good girl and made it so easy. I have never ever cried doing a matted shave down but this time I did. Ive never seen matting so bad and I truly hope I dont again. We finished her grooming at 5 am. Plain and simple this is neglect.
