Halloween Candy Dangers for Pets!
Halloween means loads of candies for us, but for pets, certain candies can spell trouble!
Here’s a list of some of the biggest candy hazards:
🍫Chocolate: Even small amounts of chocolate can cause vomiting, diarrhea, rapid breathing, and even seizures. Dark chocolate and baking chocolate are especially dangerous!
🍬Xylitol: Found in sugar-free gum, candies, and even peanut butter, xylitol can trigger a rapid drop in blood sugar and cause liver failure in dogs.
🍇Raisins & Grapes: Often found in healthier snack mixes, these can cause kidney failure even in small amounts!
🍬Candy Wrappers: Dogs and cats may try to eat the wrappers too, which can lead to dangerous blockages in their digestive system.
Keep All Candy Out of Reach! Make sure your Halloween candy stash is stored somewhere safe.
