Bitter sweet day today. I know I don't post about my chickens on here, but we had our very first eggs hatch yesterday. But unfortunately I lost all 3 of my laying mamas. I've raised them up from hatchlings. I think a hawk is getting them... free roam has worked so well for us but the hawks know when my livestock guardian dogs aren't watching. I'm so upset and just needed to vent somewhere. My favorite one was taken this morning. We're in the process of building our main coop and our breeding pens... just a few weeks too late for a few of my girls.

Picture of 2 of my 3 hatched so far...out of 7. Thankfully I have about 18 to put in this next batch. Hopefully I get little duplicates of my girls bc I'm distraught 💔😫😪

We also lost a Rex litter. For some reason mama didn't make a nest and they all got too cold. And ofc the baby piggy that passed a few days ago... ugh idk how much more loss I can take this week.

I'll be making a farm page for my goats and chickens if anybody is interested in joining us over there for our farm activities and animals...thanks for letting me rant.

Gracie had her babies! I'm pretty sure this is her first litter. She had two beautiful teddy babies. Sadly one, an all black sow, was not alive when I checked on them this morning. Only this stunning little boar.

I suspect he will be a Californian pattern, if not he will be classified as a Dark Eyed White. He's going to be staying with us! He's exactly what I have been looking for teddy wise. He will be Potion & Shylas Sire in the future.

I'm blessed to have my litters provide me with the colors I need to expand my breeding program! From Asmodeous to now this little one! I've named him Halo 😊❤️ i now have 3 boar growouts from my own personal litters, and 2 from adopters personal litters!

I'm so excited!! I definitely feel at least two babies..let's hope for some roans!
This will be her first litter, but she has already shown me what a great mama she will be. She's been great in our "maternity ward" and helped Potion through her birth.

She gave us 3 girls again! How cool is that??
I have no clue how these coats will grow out. When they were first born, they had slight waves... but now they really don't. Their fur isn't the texture of teddies and itsmore smooth. And their fur definitely has length to it... so they seem silkie like! But honestly who knows how it will be as they grow! I'm still in search for the perfect teddy male to pair Potion to..but im thinking about getting out of Teddies to focus on Peruvians. We will see!

Potion has been seperated from a male for over 9 weeks 😮!! Shes sleeping peacefully right now but gosh does she look uncomfortable 😔

If she doesn't give brith this week I'm going to really be worried! Those must be HUGE pups in there. She gave birth to 3 last time, and she wasn't this big! Maybe there is 4...? Wouldn't that be amazing. She's been lounging around the last 3 days. I was sure she was going to pop last night... but here she is! She's about 1.5 finger tips dilated, that means babies should be here soon. I've been watching for baby movement to make sure they aren't stillborn, as that can delay birth, but I see movement!

I'm anticipating this litter as it can swing either way genetically. Both are pure parents of different breeds....let's see which genes get passed on, teddy or texel? Maybe a mix? Can't wait!! Oh and she gave me all girls last litter...so fingers crossed!!

Did you know that 15-20 years ago it was normal for guinea pigs to give birth to 5 plus babies? Now its hard to find a piggy that will even hold 4! Crazy how it was bred/thinned out of the genetics within the last 15 years...but they do say that sometimes the litters can grow in size as the piggy ages!!

Praying my baby Potion will have a smooth birth. She one of my favorites! Rainbow will forever be one of my favorite colorings! Love her patches of lilac.

Reminder to all adopters

Please remember if you ever have to rehome your guinea pig or bunny, you notify me!! I don't mind if you rehome, as life happens, but I would like to know who they are going to.
You may NEVER take any of my animals to a shelter. Last resort is back to me!!! And God forbid someone ever dumps them. They will always be allowed to come back to me if you cannot find another home, no questions asked.
You agree to this when you adopt from me, as its mentioned in our pinned post.

I watch local animals shelters and rehome pages specifically to make sure none of my piggies are dumped and they are being rehomed properly.

We WILL press legal charges if any of our animals are dumped or abused. Rehoming is perfectly fine, i just want to be notified ❤️

I created these animals and I don't plan on adding to the already over crowded animal shelters. No need to take homes from those who desperately need it when they can come to me, and i can find them proper homes.

2025 breeding Schedule & Pairings {Feb-Aug}

We've officially made our pairings for the next few months! I still plan to add to my breeding stock so we could possibly have more litters pop up on the schedule. But for now, here's a rough estimate of who I'm pairing together over the next few months.

We are accepting "First Pick" deposits for each pairing. 1 sow, and 1 boar deposit per litter. This is our version of a waitlist. If the deposits are filled and closed for that pairing, it will be listed under the individual photo below. ⬇️⬇️

Each picture has their names listed, breeds, coat colors, and the month the litter is expected to be due.

Meeting a transporter tonight for my two new breeder Texel Sows, super excited!! They are ready to be bred here soon, we're planning for more texel babies late March-April! We also had another litter born last night! Sway, our Golden Agouti Roan Coronet, had 3 beautiful babies. 2 boys and a girl, of course! I will post them soon ❤️☺️

6 little baby bunnies!! Oh how i missed having little buns in the house... i think my last litter was Feb or so of 2024. Shes never had a black kit before but I did pair her with a different buck this time! Can't wait to see how these babies turn out. Looks like a tan, harlequin, silver or opal, and Magpies! Just look at that one that will have diff colored ears 😍! She only throws these colors when I paired her with my rex. This time I paired her with a lionlop for first time so nice to see she can still throw these colors. Hope these babies have some fluff!! Also happy none came out agouti like mama...lol 🤣 #texastexelcavies #babybunnies

Introducing.... RATS 😍❤️ We will be breeding fancy & dumbo rats coming very soon! Even hairless ones! These are our three baby girls. Our boy will be here in about 2 weeks. They love to be held and petted. Absolutely adorable little ones! Too small for their 3 story cage omg🤣🤣 they are so much fun!
