Many of you know Faith's story – rescued in 2018 with a devastating leg injury that took months to heal. She's always been incredibly cautious, friendly enough for pets but impossible to catch. Her insecurity around humans, especially away from her best friend Scarlet, has been a big challenge.But this week, something incredible happened! Cowboy Bob (Robert Bova) started working with Faith, and this is only his second day!
We've never seen Faith join up with a human like this before. Her trust and connection with Robert is heartwarming to witness. This is a testament to Robert's patience and expertise. He's unlocked a potential in Faith we never thought possible. This is the magic of rescue!A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to Robert for his unwavering support of Becky's Hope. Astonished and Grateful!
We feel incredibly lucky to have Cowboy Bob with us! He's been a lifesaver, and on his second visit with BB, they've made amazing progress! He picked up and trimmed her front feet already! Say what???
BB is a strong-minded, beautiful, and smart horse. She's enjoyed the last few years roaming free on hundreds of acres, which made her a bit herd-bound and set in her ways. Yet, Cowboy Bob has already managed to work his magic and get her to cooperate—simply amazing!
Though Facebook doesn’t allow videos and pics together anymore, enjoy this video snippet. More to come!

***** I keep forgetting to add this to every post. The flooring in each stall is thick rubber mats. Not concrete. It might look that way but it’s not. See the square cut out in the center of the floor? That’s a piece of the thick rubber mat that is cut out of the mat (can’t cut cement) but they keep it there because it’s covering the drain when they spray the stalls down. They also usually put a thick bed of shavings even on top of these mats in their stalls but Mr. Mule was trying to eat the shavings. They were nice enough to strip the whole stall and get rid of them so they wouldn’t make him sick. ❤️
We had the pleasure of visiting Mr. Mule today, and wow, what a difference a day makes! When we saw him compared to just a few days ago, we were truly taken aback by how much more alert he is! I could barely get a good photo because he was so eager to come close to the camera!
Just a few days ago, he seemed so shut down and in survival mode, but today, while he’s still a bit weak and slow, he’s responding to our voices and seeking out some much-needed attention! It was feeding time, so we didn’t get to shower him with hugs just yet, but we can’t wait for that moment! The IV is out, and all signs are pointing to him coming home tomorrow! While we’re over the moon with this progress, we’re also being cautiously optimistic. Every little step forward is a victory, and we’re so grateful for the care he’s received from Weems and Stephens Vet Hospital.
Let’s keep the positive vibes, prayers and love going for Mr. Mule as he continues on this journey! Thank you all for your support! 💕
