Did you know that less than 10% of the pets that are unchipped will return home each year?

A microchip is a secure, reliable, permanent identification for your pet and the process is simple and affordable. Microchipping your pet can help ensure that if your pet goes missing, they can be identified and find their way back to you.

If your pet is chipped, make sure their information is up to date. To help keep pets close to their loved ones, share this post and remind your friends to !

Is your pet scooting or licking their rear? It could be their a**l glands.

A**l glands are located on the rear of dogs and cats. The glands produce an oily, fishy-smelling fluid that helps with scent marking. Sometimes these glands can get impacted or infected.

Soft, consistent stool, as well as allergies, are common causes of irritation. If your pet is scooting, licking excessively, or showing signs of discomfort around their rear end, contact us! We will help to identify the cause and determine the best course of treatment.

With tomorrow being Hairball Awareness Day, we wanted to remind our cat parents about the importance of preventing hairballs.

Accumulated from excessive grooming, hairballs can build in your cat’s digestive system and either get coughed up or in some cases, need surgical removal.
If your cat is excessively vomiting, lethargic, loses their appetite, or has diarrhea or constipation, these may be signs of a blockage and you should contact our team immediately. Give us a call at 972-335-1234.

One hundred and forty-one days!! That is how long it has been since Kingston was abandoned at our hospital. He is well cared for here at AMSH and loved by all but it does not come close to being in a home with his forever family. If you have room in your home and heart for this sweet boy please give us a call at 972-335-1234.

Team Tuesday!!
We are happy to feature one of our Lead Technicians, Miss Erin! She will celebrate her 8th year at AMSH of Frisco this summer. She is an integral part of our technical team and also is our Inventory Manager making sure we have supplies and medicine needed to care for our patients.
She recently earned a certificate in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science, and though we will miss her terribly, we are very supportive in her desire to pursue her next chapter. But hopefully not too soon.😉
We all love her dearly and she is truly One Cool Lady.

Have a blessed day❤️
