Victoria TX - From Ashley: Jack came from a cruelty case in Corpus Christi, Texas. His owners went to prison for animal abuse and neglect for several doggies. An out of state rescue pulled Jack from Corpus Christi Texas animal control because he was going to be euthanized and they had an elderly lady fostering him that is 76 years old. Jack is deaf and too strong for her to handle. He is kept outdoors in a small kennel area or tied to a pole with little shelter, food, or water. He has already spent most of his life being neglected, and now has to suffer like this. He needs a rescue to help him with his disability someone that can work with him with his hearing impairments. He is friendly to people, but because he has not been around other dogs in over two years that he’s been stuck in this backyard with no social skills or attention. He is in desperate need of help asap. We do not have the information of the rescue who pulled him originally, but we do know that he is heartworm positive and is in not good shape. They have abandoned him with her and he has not received any updates on his vaccines or preventatives while in her care. The elderly lady will surrender him to a rescue that can help with deaf dogs.

We adopted Odin in September of 2022. We already had our girl at the time and I could not have ever imagined how much they would love each other. A match made in heaven for sure. Odin is an absolute dream and one of the happiest, craziest and goofy boys I have ever had.

PUPDATES 🐾

🐾 Good evening, Harley here checking in. After spa day and some play time in the snow I’m relaxing for the night.

♥️ A few weeks ago MSGBR(the rescue we got our sweet Odin from) posted an available puppy that I absolutely knew I needed to have the minute I saw him ❤️ I applied to adopt and said if it's ment to be it will happen ... WELL...

Everyone meet our newest addition his given rescue name was Jagger but we call him Moose 🤷‍♀️🤣😍 He is everything we didn't know we needed!!! He LOVES cuddles, his toys, stealing SOCKS, his big brother Odin, and ALL of his humans (even the little loud ones) ..... He is such a foodie and when he gets the zoomies his legs get away from him, he is less than graceful, and barrels through anything in his path 🤣 He is doing really well potty training, sleeping through the night, and he just learned how to successfully climb steps and jump up on the couch 🎉 16.9pds at the vet last Monday @ 12 weeks old 🥹❤️ My heart is so full !! Welcome Home Moose (MeeMoo, MooGoose, baby dog)!! We LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH❤️❤️

Mama Clara is checking in to remind our followers she is still looking for her forever, a home where she can be an only. Clara came to rescue as a 10-12 year old senior mama with one single puppy. Clara does not like to live with other animals but she sure does love her people.

We will go live, recording all of the dogs in need, as the shelter allows. We will also load up with treats, toys and leashes/collars. If you see anyone you would like to help, please PM the rescue page.

Fostering is very rewarding! You get to see the dog blossom and learn new and exciting things, all the way through until they find their furever families!

The Culpeper Humane Society and Margaret’s Saving Grace Bully Rescue, as well as other foster based rescues are willing to pull dogs from us, but can’t do so without fosters and sometimes donations!

Some dogs that would greatly benefit from getting out of the shelter and into a home to learn, grow, and become more confident would be Buster, Drumstick, Russell, Arlo, Diesel, Tommy, and Athena!

📣 Our Alumni, Sarge has undergone a leg amputation~we received the update below from his family, they are looking for a rear sling they can borrow for a couple of weeks until Sarge gets used to 3 legs?

Please send this precious guy so many well wishes as he heals through his.

Wanted to let you know that Sarge has a malignant sarcoma about the size of an orange in his left front armpit. The blood supply for the leg runs through it, so it has to go. The surgery to remove the leg is on 1/29. After he heals, he'll need radiation and possibly chemo. I thought you and Brad would want to know.

PUPDATE~Jersey, now Gunnar has started to settle in to his new home and they have updated that things are going much better. They are still working on some things that come normal of a rescue puppy but he is well loved.
