Kitty Camp Cat Resort is a loving, lakeside cat resort, featuring care customized to each kitty's needs. We combine the best of both worlds: A home-styled environment, with various-sized kitty condos, providing each kitty with their very own "cool cat" pad for their stay. Each cat gets time every day to explore the facility, get in our laps for TLC, sunbathe, bird-watch, or enjoy playtime -- they let us know what they prefer.

24-year-old beautiful Peach is back again! And we’ve got to say… those eyes… just wow!!!
Her Dad said she really doesn’t let anybody but us and them pet her. We feel extremely privileged to have her trust and to be able to provide her with comfort.

Big beautiful tabby girl, Happy, is back! This time, she really wants to go under the cabinet. So she sizes it up and gives it her all…and if the bottom of a litter box wasn’t filling most of that space, we think she would’ve made it! At least she tried.

Handsome ginger tabby, MP, has been visiting with us over the years for 12 years.

He loves to drink out of the sink so much that he gets in the sink and curls up to wait for us to come and turn it on for him. 😸
There’s no ambivalence about this boy… he KNOWS what he likes!

Handsome Tuna has an interesting story, but first we must say… no judgment, here, please. We’ve never seen this before, but Tuna absolutely demands to go out. Of course, we can’t let kitties at Kitty Camp & Resort go all the way outside, so the Catio and Purranda must suffice, and for Tuna, they did. He would want to go out, then come in, then go out, then come in… yes, his parents had installed a cat door on their house, and by his second day, we were texting his Mom “Now I see why you installed a cat door… Lol”. But it doesn’t end there.

At check-in, we learned that his parents had found him, and then one day had a knock at their door. As it turned out, Tuna had been bought from a breeder by a couple who lived nearby, and foolishly let him out. He got used to being outside, and meandered away.

On his journey, Tuna found these sweet new parents, who treated him like a king, found food that was both healthy and appetizing to him, and they installed a cat door, so he could come and go as he liked. Tuna chose this new couple over the people who bought him from a breeder. By the time the original buyers came to his chosen parents’ home, he had already bonded with them, so his chosen parents got to keep him. Now, about his chosen parents: Tuna is their very first cat, ever. They found out about the cat door, best food choices, and Kitty Camp & Resort all through their own research. Kudos, guys! He’s a really great cat. All 3 of them know it, and we do, too! 😻

Welcome back to 23-year-old beautiful Peach! Peach has been visiting with us over the years. The first couple of times, her owners were quite surprised that she warmed right up to us, and they were especially surprised that she allowed us to pet her. At first, it was only her head, though.

Now she recognizes where she is as soon as she gets here. She lets us pet her down her back, actually arching her back up against our hand, and she loves to get her cheeks and chin rubbed.

At 23, her favorite thing now is petting.
Her second favorite thing is watching the birds and chickens from her condo. Her third favorite thing is her cat naps.
She isn’t really interested in coming out of her condo, though. In past visits, we have brought her out, but really all she wanted to do was go back to her cozy condo and be petted. This time was her longest visit, and once she had the condo room to herself, we kept her condo door and put steps down to the floor, but she was content staying in her condo, getting loved on throughout the day and night.

We’re happy to announce that our power and running water were restored around 5:30 pm today! Woo hoo!

Additionally, we’re thrilled to report that accessability to Spring Lake Road via 466A/Miller has been restored today!
With that said, we don’t recommend taking Timbertop, ever. Just keep going on 466A and your GPS will recalibrate. From 466 A, turn directly onto Spring Lake Road.

Also, we’d like to thank a few people for their trenendous help during this time:

First, there’s our fabulous Brent (photo) who worked tirelessly preparing, holding down the fort during, and cleaning up after Hurricane Milton. He worked with me until the wee hours, reassuring the kitties during the worst of the storm. He even checked kitties out, so I could help a client who doesn’t drive take her cats to the vet, for their annual.

Secondly, I’d like to thank that sweet client, Sheila, who so very kindly offered her hot shower… and now I can greet everyone with clean hair! Yay! 😀

Thirdly, I’d like to thank our Governor Desantis for doing such a fabulous job, in so many ways, both prior to and after the storm. And he did all of this, while still dealing with the devastation left by Helene, less than two weeks prior!
Since we’re in a rural area, we are quite surprised that our power is already restored, but Desantis had linemen recruited from other states, and he had them already here and ready to go, right after the storm had passed.

Fourth, I’d like to thank the Morses for having the foresight to install underground utilities for our clients in The Villages, so that most didn’t have to go through this loss of power/running water. For most Villagers, once the storm had passed, there was light clean-up, checking on neighbors, checking in with family, and then it was back to living life.

Fifth, we have to give the linemen a BIG shout out!!! They work hard and risk their lives every day, to provide what most people take for granted.

Finally, I’d like to thank you all for your gentle patience, and for giving us grace, while we recovered from this storm.

Beautiful Trixie

We told beautiful Trixie’s Mom that she was quite shy, during her first visit. We’re so glad she came back again, because now she hops right out of her unit and lets us love on her. 😻❤️

Every day we get to play with the kitties, one kitty at a time, like beautiful Max (short for Maxine) is demonstrating here.

It’s amazing how many kitties learn which unit is theirs, and they just hop right back in, as handsome Nitro boy demonstrates, here. 😻

Beautiful Acadia’s back and enjoying her playtime… boy, she’s getting good! Lol! Yes, she’s a Maine Coon.

Kitties have their own little way of letting us know what they want. Don’t believe it ? Here’s a little obvious proof. 😻

Beautiful Bailey is purring quite loudly, and we love it! Normally a very shy kitty with strangers, she’s doing so well with us, while her Mommy’s in the hospital. 🤗

Beautiful Squeak here (named appropriately), in her flower basket on Easter. Another girl with a loud purr! It’s been quite the “Purrapalooza” around here, lately, and we’ve loved it!

Beautiful Glory has such a loud purr!

Beautiful Miley enjoyed getting up in the tree on The Catio… and then she enjoyed getting down. 🤣

Beautiful Abbey, from the front, this time. We’ve been enjoying Abbey’s visits with us for years. We love her white eyeliner! Her favorite place at Kitty Camp Cat Resort is our Catio. She could spend all day out there. Believe it or not, she was shy her first couple of visits, and she used to bring her pink stroller to go on The Catio. But now she settles right in, darting out to explore The Catio every day. Kitty Camp has become Abbey’s home away from home, and we love getting to spend time with this sweet girl. 😻
