Scaps Pack Rescue Bunch.π
Today we picked up 12 rats!
12 rats that were neglected and left for the local shelter to take care of.
The story on them is a bit mixed. We've been told they came from a hoarder situation and or they were abandoned in a field left in their cage. Its he said she said.
Thankfully SCAPS our local shelter and Murcis mission in Spokane was able to save these babies. However unfortunately SCAPS mainly takes in cats and dogs they're not quite set up for rats so they contacted us to see if we could help.
Of course we said yes. So we now have 12 rescues ages from old man to 6 -8 weeks old.
All rats have seen a vet and are relatively healthy, a bit underweight and have lice. They were treated for the lice and will be on a 3 week quarantine.
β¨οΈOld man is staying with us as he's got hair loss, bumble foot and seems to not get along with the younger males he came with.
β¨οΈ All boys (6) will be quarantined for 3wks, after temperament testing they may be up for adoption in early August.
π(This is a rescue litter, genetics: unknown, full temperament: unknown)
β¨οΈ All girls (5) are under pregnancy watch. If found to be NOT pregnant they may be available for adoption in August after 3wk quarantined and temperament testing.
