Openings for self-care, full & field board! Summer is coming quickly (in true Maryland fashion) and so are the projects! Fields are getting split further for real rotation, fencing is being redone section by section.

This farm has been so much work to bring back up but it's finally getting there! Now, I hate to say it, but we could really use ONE day with a good rain! 😂

I am considering a self-care and/or co-op board at the farm. I've had so many inquiries I think it may be worth a thought.

Oh! And we got two new large run-in sheds last month so all fields have solid shelters now if the horses get caught in a random pop-up storm! (Normally they’d come in for bad weather.) There’s one more to the left in this photo…all generously sized for the small group turnouts! 🙂

It’s been a while since I’ve posted - I hope y’all have a great Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!

We’ve gotten super lucky with all this rain - we flood pretty bad but it’s been draining amazingly well! And of course, ride time isn’t affected because the indoor is great! 😉

Spring show season is getting planned and I hope this year to finally host at least one show at the farm in the fall!

Remembering how bad the front of the property was…

Had a feed rep out yesterday - it’s a good feeling for a rep to say that the feeding program I have is “locked down” and that the horses all look amazing! Im thankful for the clients who trust me with their horses and for a truly independent party to acknowledge hard work!

Every horse has a slightly unique feeding plan and it evolves as they change. This farm isn’t a “one scoop fits all” farm!

The Bay Boys Club is ready for one more horse to join them!

WBF has one opening for full board. I’ve heard some rumors around town about pricing and such here, please IGNORE them and reach out directly if you’re interested. 😏

Winter is coming, which means. 66’x200’ indoor is the perfect place for you to continue riding all year! For the times it’s warm enough, there is also an outdoor with a course of jumps and a hacking loop around the property.

Dressage focused farm, but welcoming almost all disciplines. All adult boarders, no drama, safe facility. Dressage trainer comes out weekly but outside, insured trainers are welcome as well.

The latest project has been removing goodness knows how much weight of concrete from the front of the barn. Four sections of 66 square feet at 8-15” thick through each panel. It’s going to be amazing when it’s gone!

So glad the smoke from last week has all cleared!

A new outdoor ring is coming! A small dressage ring (but longer to allow entry) is being installed and fields have shifted to allow some more for rotation! Instead of 3 big fields now, there will be 5 for turnout - much needed! Private turnout may be available now as well Two stalls are available for full board.

Bug season is upon us with the official start of summer in less than ONE WEEK and that means Autumn is only about 3 months away! Ride all year with the indoor or enjoy the outdoors when you can.

Boarding horses, having an indoor and a large farm was always my dream. (I wanted to teach too, but that ship sailed 🤣🤣.) I never really wanted to specialize in any thing like rehab, but I think I can officially classify this as a training and rehab farm at this point.

Multiple EPM horses diagnosed and treated (and doing fabulous.) Horses that came severely underweight when they arrived have gained 100+ lbs since they’ve been here. Horses that came with pretty major lameness issues are getting sound and getting back work with their owners (and Howie is in that category too…yay for mysterious lamenesses). Even though only two of the horses here are actually mine, I consider them all my kids!

Peaceful, happy ponies. Consistency. Lots of love.

Oh and btw, WBF has two openings for full board! 😘. It may not be the fanciest farm in Salisbury, but there’s a lot of great stuff going on here!

Conveniently located in Salisbury on the Snow Hill end, minutes to hours of trail riding, the Wicomico Equestrian Center and less than an hour from beaches where you can ride. Enjoy the indoor, outdoor, hacking loop and more! Property owner lives on site.

Monthly clinics take place with a variety of reputable and amazing clinicians. (No grounds fee for boarders.).

Happy New Year from all of us here, two and four legged!

I’m SO excited for what 2023 is going to bring! I had a whole idea of making a post with all the first year stats for the farm…anddddd dropped the ball, no pun intended on New Year’s Eve! It’s been a crazy year, had boarders come and go, had probably 50-100 horses and riders come through the farm for lessons, clinics and other events, and got to know some amazing professionals in the dressage world that I can happily call FRIENDS now. I’m thankful for all of you and what you’re making this farm and wish you the very best New Year possible!!! Cheers and onward to even more amazingness in 2023!!!

WBF is ringing in 2023 hard!!! Indoor rentals are available at $20/hour/horse - must have a current liability form on file. It will NOT be available in clinic days! Brotie is gazing toward warmer weather - you should be tooooo!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉

January 15 - Julia Jesu is doing a braiding clinic! No horse necessary! Please RSVP quickly! $50/per

January 21 & 22 - TWO day Ulla Parker long lining clinic and lessons! $105/per session or lesson, due the weekend before. Current flu-rhino and Coggins required. Liability form must be on file before you unload!

**ADDED February 11 & 12 - Ulla Parker clinic weekend - long-lining or under saddle lessons***

February 25 - Aviva Nebesky clinic day, $110/lesson due the weekend before the clinic.

March 19 - Aviva is back! $110/per

It’s been forever since I’ve posted!!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday and is prepared for Christmas!

Updated!!

One stall open for full board. Includes paddock, small group turnout, round bales outside and squares inside in inclement weather. Full use of the indoor, outdoor and hacking loop. No charge for blanketing to be changed twice daily. ProElite grain fed. Owner on site and no employees (consistency in care!).

ALSO-

Ulla Parker will be back for long lining again in January! January 21 - 10 spots open. No experience or equipment required, just a bridle, saddle pad and good horse! :) $115 includes the lesson and grounds fee. Indoor arena.

And Julia Jesu will be here for a braiding clinic in January as well!! Sunday January 15. 1-3 pm. This will be fantastic! $50

Well. The cold is here. And no, I’m not happy about it.

What does make me happy this time of year? Riding in an indoor with temps that increase from 10-20 degrees about the outside temp! 😇

Good VERY early morning! Daylight savings is horrible! But you know what’s not?? Indoor arena lighting! 😇

WBF has four stalls for full board and arena rentals ready for the fall and winter. Message me for details! There is space for you to join our wonderful group of no drama, professional adults who care about our horses and each other like family! (No dogs on the farm - Charlie (and insurance) ask that he’s the only tiny four legged creature on the property 😉).

Indoor rentals - message me to reserve a time. $25/hour with high and dry trailer parking, outside, insured trainers welcome for a lesson vs a pleasure ride - your choice. Helmets and hard shoes required. Coggins/flu & rhino required.

12/3 will be the first of hopefully many long-lining clinics with Ulla Parker!! We had soooo many requests for this with Peninsula Dressage so make sure you don’t miss it!! $105 will be due the week before the clinic and let me tell you, if you haven’t learned to long line, do it! It’s changing Brotie’s life! Ulla is awesome!! It’s something you’ll absolutely want to add to your toolbox monthly!
