We want to thank our clients who choose kindness. We have had some unfortunate experiences with pet owners recently. We are going to proudly post the following in our facility, on our webpage, on our take in form, as a reminder to be kind. If you feel that you can't refrain from violence in all forms while interacting with the staff at our facility we ask that you seek pet care elsewhere. Thank you.

It's that time of year again for turkey, pies, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. There you are preparing delicious food for all of your family and guests. Your dog glances up at you with sad, hungry eyes, sits, even gives you a paw, drools a little bit, so you decide to just give them a little piece of... NOTHING! Only YOU can prevent pancreatitis.

PSA: There is currently an unidentified respiratory illness going around in dogs in the United States. If your dog is experiencing any of the signs/symptoms listed in this article we recommended an appointment with your primary care veterinarian or bringing them in for a visit. Good resources for more information as it arises include American Veterinary Medical Association, Cornell Animal Health Diagnostics Center, and MSU.

We took in this sweet stray kitten, Hallow, a few weeks back who came to us with a broken pelvis. We are thankful to the Good Samaritan who brought her in and glad we could lend a hand. Thank you Dr. Collins, Haley, and to our LVTs and VAs who helped with her care. We know she is loving Lego paradise at her new home. ❤️

Cora was presented to us after ingesting a fishing hook on the line. Her parents found the line hanging out of her mouth, happy as a 10 week old German Shorthair Pointer should be with-not a care in the world! We were able to surgically remove the fish hook to help her on her way. What a sweet girl! We hope she learned a good lesson! *posted with owner permission

It's national veterinary technician week! It's a time of a year to recognize all of the dedicated professionals who show up every day to care for your pets like they were their own. Pet parents: Please take a moment to acknowledge and thank your veterinary technicians. Their skills and big hearts are invaluable to veterinary medicine and to helping our four legged families!

It was a sad day today at the clinic for a lot of families in the community. Please choose to be kind because it’s hard to know when your neighbors are grieving over the loss of their furry companions. Our hearts go out to those whose homes are feeling a little different tonight. We are thinking of you all and hope you know we are here to support you during this difficult time.

Meet our friend Brinkley! This handsome boy decided his parents’ dental floss would be a great snack! We were able to successfully induce vomiting and get it all out. He’s still a little nauseated and regretful of his decision today. We hope he changes his snacking habits in the future! *posted with owner permission

We’d also like to draw attention to the fact that we hit 100 FIVE STAR google reviews. We know it’s not thankless all the time. We are so grateful to be here for your family’s fur babies. We will continue to offer you the best care and communication we can despite those minimal comments that weigh heavily on our hearts.

We had another one star google review today and the client said “the vet cared more about the $ than the pet”. I invite you to read it if you want to and the response. It’s not okay to walk into a business and demand services for free. We are not heartless because we don’t give services away for free. Anyone out there who expects this needs to stop insulting their veterinarian and stop making public commentary on their character because you don’t have the financial capacity to care for your pet. Honestly that is not something we as veterinarians can fix and we cannot be expected to give away our services. We have mountains of debt of our own. How many times do we have to tell people we aren’t in this for the money? Spread the truth: we chose to go into a what feels like a thankless profession and be broke because we want to help your pets!
Note: if you think this is unprofessional, it’s not. This is an attempt to try to bring awareness to our clients about what we experience day to day despite all of our efforts to do the best we can.

The google review posted earlier today was changed by its author this afternoon. We wanted the public to know this. It is a win for the veterinary profession to have a client take ownership of their feelings without causing harm. As we try to work on being more communicative, we are also going to continue to stand up to similar unnecessary and hurtful commentary about our business.
