This year I am trying my best to make my pet clients experience a happier, calmer, and individualized experience with me...if your pets appointment takes longer than the average 1.5-2 hours (which is already tight enough for some dogs) please bear with me. As a pet lover, groomer, and trainer, I want all my clients to have the best experience with me and the shop. Dogs, as a 'animal' do not realize grooming is something they need done for the enrichment and betterment of their health, and to help keep the fur away for Mom and Dad. Dogs with high anxiety, puppies, dogs with poor health issues, there is a misconception that they should be 'rushed out' to be made more comfortable or for the experience to go faster for them, and that, unfortunately cannot be the case. When rushing, dogs get more scared, more anxious and more untrustworthy of who they are with. Taking our time allows us to provide enrichment for your pet while they are here, give them a chance to settle down if needed, and allow them a place to feel safe, one that they are excited to see and happy to come thru the doors. So, this year, some things will be changing with the way I groom, as I grow more in my career, and learn more along the way, it is all to be able to help my clients further and their pets, whom are so important to me. This year, whether your pet is here 1.5hrs, 2 hrs, or even 2.5 or 3 hrs, id like to ask that clients not make a fuss of it, if you have something to do, go do that may cause the appointment to get in the way of it, let me know beforehand, I also highly encourage people to do their errands or just enjoy their day, your pet is getting a wellness spa day, not just seeing "the dog groomer" which is what I'm looked at as in a lot of people's eyes. I consider myself a pet wellness professional who just so happens to know how to style your pet as well. My shop is an experience, and a center of knowledge, not just an in and out money trap hounding dogs day in day out. Dogs are my dedication, I've spent 15+years in the industry doing all sorts of things, your pet, is family to me as well π€π€
If youve read this far...as another PSA that I will elaborate on in April..pricing will be going up $5-$10 June 1, 2025. All pricing of my dogs are individualized, so, I will be contacting all clients personally to let them know what their new price will be, I will contact those of you as well that will not receive an increase. All new clients do not get a price raise as they are already adjusted.
