I spent the day today grooming a Newfoundland on someone's back porch, no pictures but, he's in much better shape than he was! 😁😆🤕
Then Shanya and I went out to see the Budweiser Clydesdales at Hampton Farms in Fruitport!!

It was a great event, and experience, something I've wanted to do and horses I've wanted to see since a child. Granted, these horses are now grandsons and granddaughters of the horses I seen way back when, however, they still have the same mission of bringing joy to people and reminding us how preserving history creates education and happiness for generations to come.

Budweiser, keep the history going!

Good evening to all!

I just want to take the time this evening to make an announcement that some of you may see either on your way back and forth to work, or coming up to the shop for appointments. Thru me opening up to you, some of you know my current going ons of the shop, and some do not, and I'd like to be a little transparent about it as it will possibly affect the future of where my business is.

Currently I rent the building where Brighthouse (formerly All Star Grooming & Training ) has sat for over 12+ yrs, this building has always been rented out even when Cindy had it. The building we take shop in is located next to a house, this house as well has always been rented out (at least from what I know). The owner of our building also owns the home next door and they are looking to sell. The property is together, which would mean my building would be sold as well.

Tomorrow they will be putting the for sale sign out front, and I just want to make you all aware that I AM GROOMING STILL, WE ARE STILL IN THE BUILDING, and are not leaving this location any time soon. I still have a contract for the rest of the year with them that will of course be honored. Once and if they sell, I cannot say what will or won't happen for the year 2025, however, I do know for 2024 I am still in this location.

To add to this, I am currently getting things in line to begin a house search, in my search I am strongly hoping to find a place that will allow me a home and ability to run my business in my home or at least on my property. This currently would be the best option for me (some clients know why). Grooming isn't something I want to stop yet, and the things that have happened these last few years have not and will not stop that.

All grooming appointments are still on and scheduled with NO changes!

Our next shampoo "highlights" are Mint Julep, and Hypo Remedy 🧴 😊

Both Envirogroom products Mint Julep and Hypo Remedy are both for skin sensitivities.

Hypo Remedy targets itching and biting that occurs due to irritation of the skin, or inflammation in different spots, a citrus smelling shampoo 🍊

Mint Julep is a great option for clients that may not like the smell of the Hypo Remedy. Also providing relief from itching and biting, Mint Julep however, also helps relieve hot spots, yeast spots, and excessive dander coming from different spots 🌱

Both are great options for a hypoallergenic shampoo to use on your pet, vs the oatmeal option, which only creates more yeast in your pet

I've been busy after hours slowly making improvements to different things in or out of the shop...next on the list are D.I.Y planting pots

Shanya and I will be painting/airbrushing these as well as 2 big pots for plants...we aren't quite sure what will be in them yet...but! we've got a plan so far😅

Any plant/flower ideas send em my way!

We just got a load of mulch, soil, and edging for the outside and, on a sunnier day, will be going out putting a new set down...I'll have to remember to take before and afters, it'll be a pretty big project and a much needed change!

I'll be showcasing everyday just some of the types of products we use for your pets!

All groomers vary on what is used, how it's used, and what it's used for, when it comes to shampoos.
Shampoos for professional pet grooming are a bit different than what they sell you in those big brick stores

All over the Internet there are hundreds of choices of brands, I myself, dial it down to not only what's cost effective for us, but, how it will handle on each dogs coats, the kind of skin and coat your dogs has, as well as the type of odor of shampoo (some shampoo has strong perfumed smells that some owners and dogs themselves dont like)

In my time of grooming I've gone thru trying 3 different brands of shampoo, the 2 we've stuck with the most now, are the simple deshedding shampoo, as well as Envirogroom.

Envirogroom is a shampoo company that focuses on the natural side of shampooing, helping to relieve skin stressors in dogs with their all natural products.

The product we'll be highlighting today is Envirogroom gentle clean
